Sonata's are great
Hyundai makes several great vehicles but, for me, the Sonata stands out as one of the better passenger vehicles around. I looked at several vehicles before deciding on the Sonata including Camry, Equinox, Focus, Rogue, and Elantra. While those other vehicles were very nice vehicles and certainly worth serious consideration, when I was driving the Sonata I felt like I was driving a mature vehicle. It's a big step up from the economy class vehicles that have come a long way in comfort and accessories but still kind of give you a feeling like your driving a car designed for young drivers. I'm in my 40's and I'm looking for something that feels more grown up. The Equinox and Rogue are fine vehicles in their own right and if I had young children or was doing a lot of traveling I would have probably looked at them a little closer. So, it came down to the Sonata or the Camry. The Camry is a nicely designed vehicle with very good specs and drives and rides smoothly. However, I felt like I had to actually "drive" the Camry instead of just getting in and having the feeling that I could just "guide" the car to my destination and enjoy the ride. With the Sonata, that feeling of guiding the car to my destination is exactly what I experienced. When comparing vehicles, thing like MPG and engine type and size are important, surely, but most of those specs are pretty close to being the same across the board for all the vehicles in a class. So, it comes down to the incidentals. How does a car feel when driving it and how do you the driver feel while driving the car. With the Sonata, I really like how it drives, how it rides, how it handles, and it feels like I'm driving a mature, grown up vehicle that has everything I need in a car.
Everyone looking for a passenger car should consider the Sonata line. It's one type of car that is done right.
