My Veloster Raptor

The Veloster Turbo is a fantasias tic engineered vehicle. Some would consider that I went downgraded from a BMW to a Hyundai but in reality I upgraded from a 3 series to a Veloster Turbo. The Veloster has excellent space inside, it looks like no other car on the outside, the car runs great in any condition, and it's very reliable. If I had get another car it would be another Veloster Turbo.

Veloster is great

If anything were to happen to my Veloster, I would buy another to replace it. It's fun to drive, comfortable (drove 20 hours straight without getting too tired), can consistently get over 40 mpg on the highway (best ever was 52 mpg when top speed was kept under 60 mph), it's got plenty of room for hauling stuff when the backseats are down and it just looks great.

Sporty(ish) Compact

This car is fun to drive. It has a good mix of liveliness mixed with driving comfort. It's not a Sports car, or 'Hot Hatch,' more than it is a sporty hatchback that has all the creature comforts you could want.

Very sharp-looking car!

I love my Veloster. It drives wonderful, is super comfy, has a great stereo system and I love commuting with it. I can't vouch for winter driving, as the car is lighter than previous cars I've owned. However, in the mean time I'm lovin' it. I fell in love with its looks--and I fell hard...no other car would do!

Hope Hyundai keeps making this car

The Veloster is very comfortable considering the stiffness of the ride for performance. I put on about 60k miles per year and appreciate the seat design. The quality of both the build and design are great. I think they could have made the front end a little sleeker by eliminating the air pockets under the headlights. The low end torque is a little lacking but is made up when the turbo kicks in with more rpm. I would sacrifice that any day for the fuel economy gains. I would have put a little hotter spark plug and slightly more boost. Although the car is a blast to drive, the cornering could be a little better. I added slightly wider rims and Michelin tires which improved the ride, cornering, and hydroplaning. The features on the car are outstanding considering its price. The execution of the voice recognition and the navigation package is poor. I don't know if its the state of the art or whatever 3rd party designed it. I spent a lot to update the package and was sorely disappointed. The value and reliability are fantastic. The overall styling is great but could be a little better on the front. The interior design is well thought out. I've owned or driven lots of sports cars and the Veloster lacks nothing in this area. I looked at the Genesis coupe and it had a very poor space utilization compared to the Veloster. With the hatchback and fold down seats most people can't believe what I can fit in this car or that people can actually fit in the back seat.

Great jack of all trades

The hatchback looks sharp and has great mpg. Inside feels a little cheap (plastic door handles that flex a bit and mostly pleather) but looks great. If this car sold for a few grand less it would be rated 10/10. If you need a hatchback, this is a good jack of all trades (can haul some items, can do a quicker 0-60 and take turns, and can get good mpg). No regrets yet (3 years in).

Hyundai Veloster

The Veloster is a great car to drive. It's a 3 door hatch. Plus it's a fun speedy small car to drive in when passing slow cars in the freeway. Highly recommend getting the Veloster Turbo or R-spec but base models can be fun too.

Amazing car!

I had owned/driven for extended lengths of time about 3 Nissans prior and also VW Passat and this car is absolutely amazing! It gets phenomenal gas mileage!! I will stick with this for sure!
