Venue base

I researched cars before buying. Of upmost importance was manual transmission. My last car with same drivetrain racked up 381000 miles before being wrecked. The only negative items we're drum brakes on rear, no fog light option, and no interior light in front.

I drove my 2020 Venue for two weeks; then the engine light came on. I took it in to Gettel Hyundai Sarasota and waited 2 hours to be told that a part had to be ordered. The next visit I waited 2.5 hours for part to be installed. This was very disappointing, especially since it was a brand new vehicle with 16 miles on odometer when I bought it. Somehow, I thought I'd get preferential treatment since I did buy a new vehicle that had to be in the repair shop. I waited just like everybody else. I'm sorry I didn't get another Accent hatchback.

My wife enjoy her first new car. Gps systems is not working at the moment. The ride is very comfortable and outside noise is very low, all the control are very easy to use, no noise from motor running.

We haven't driven it much due to the weather we have had, plus no where to go due to this Covid-19. We have driven it to the Post Office a few times and back and forth to the dealership three times the day after we got it because of finance issues, but we got it resolved by paying cash.

Hyundai Venue

I really liked the appearance of the new Hyundai Venue when I saw it online. I read every professional review I could find, even from other countries, like Australia. We had a 2009 Kia Rio which I did not feel comfortable if my wife and little kids had to drive out of town in, especially since it did not have anti-lock braking or traction control for WI winters. My wife's car is a 2014 Kia Soul which we really like also. The Soul does feel a little more substantial and refined than the Venue, but the Venue is mostly our city vehicle. We only have 300+ miles on the Venue, with no rattles or other noises so far. I have never owned a "larger" or more "expensive" vehicle so I am not going to make any apples to oranges comparisons to vehicles out side of the Venue's immediate size and cost class. Appearance wise, the only thing I am not crazy about is the split head light design. I also test drove the Kia Seltos and Niro and I liked the Seltos' head lights best. This may just be a pet peeve of mine, but every radio must have a scan and not just a seek feature. The interior sound level is greatly improved over the 2009 Kia Rio it replaced. Venue's small stature makes it easy to park. The Venue engine seems peppy enough in the city and adequate on the highway. I like the more upright seating position of the Venue over the Rio. The Venue is much more spacious than the Ford Ecosport and Chevy Trax I also test drove. A pleasant surprise, the Venue comes with a doughnut spare, unlike the can of compressed air and slime to repair a flat tire like in the Soul. Overall, a really nice city vehicle, with surprising safety and tech feature for the money.

Venue

This car is awesome. It has everything I need and looks pretty sweet. The media center is easy to use and the controls are all easily accessible. The lane and blind spot notifications are so far my favorite part and I’m not sure how I lived without them before! It’s a good car

Great Car

Love this car just the right size for me. It’s very good on gas. It could be a little better on the bumps. But overall it’s a very good car and I am very happy with my purchase. And thanks to all the guys at Old Saybrook Hyundai for the excellent service.

Venue is deceptively roomy

The stats suggest it’s the smallest suv in its fleet but the interior is deceptively roomy. It has all the latest technology you could need to make it the safest in its class. The price makes it very affordable.

Denim Model is Amazing

This car is everything anyone could want if you want a fun car with good mileage and extras that would normally cost thousands more in other vehicles. The bluelink feature is not talked about enough. I live in Michigan, and with our harsh winters heated seats and remote start was a must for me. I was looking at used cars, but top trims of those are 15k-20k even though they're 3-5 years old and maybe come with bluetooth and remote start. This car gives you the bluelink app for 3 years for free and the app is a huge pro. It also is very detailed, and with the remote start you can pick the temperature you want it at, so it can heat your car in the winter and cool it in the summer. I love this feature. The safety features at this price point cannot be beat. It compares to the nissan kicks, but I liked the design of this car (denim version) much better. I really love the blind spot detection, it was a must, and it definitely makes my ride a lot safer. The car design is NICE. I love the denim. I can actually find my car in a parking lot. This might not be the case for everyone, but I used to have the most basic car that exists and I could never find it, given everyone had the same one. This car gives you some individuality which I really enjoy. Seats are comfy, driving is smooth, and the cars touch screen panel and bluetooth system work really well (includes android auto and apple car play which was also a must for me). THE PRICE POINT. This was a huge deciding factor and one you cant ignore. This car isn't the end all be all, but at this price it might as well be. I highly doubt theres a better value for a brand new car than this one. I get compliments on my car all the time, more so than when I had a car almost double in price. Money doesn't always equal value, and you get a lot for it in this case. The car is not large, so if you want a ton of space just buy something else. This car isn't about the space, but it definitely has enough for all your basic needs. There's more than enough room for the drivers and passengers seat. The back is smaller, but if you're like me, I can count on one hand how many times someone rode in the back seats of my car in the last 2 years, so I didn't really care about the size of that when deciding. I cant think of anything I would need to buy on a weekly basis that wouldn't fit in the car. My boyfriend doesnt like the car because "what if you want to go on a road trip"? This car is PLENTY for 1 or 2 people for a road trip. Especially given the fantastic mileage (I get around 34 mpg with mostly city driving, but to be fair I dont accelerate too hard all the time the way others may drive). If you're worried about this car for road trip purposes, chances are someone else you're going with has a bigger car and you can just take theirs. The car drives well and while it is peppy and responsive to acceleration and brakes, it's not the fastest car, nor will it be. If you're looking for speed, this isnt the car for you, but you can't have speed and good mileage (assuming it's not electric), so it depends on what you care more about. The engine is sufficient, and it does what I need it to do. The car is a little on the noisy side when it comes to driving over 70mpg, but the sound system is great, so I turn up my music, and it hasn't been an issue. Overall I'm super happy with my purchase. It's extremely practical while still being a fun car. I spend about 60 hours a month in my car doing almost all city driving and I wanted to love it, so that's why I chose the denim (for the nice interior) and for the safety features and mileage (and best warranty out there).

Hyundai is the best

Great car to drive. I am very short. This car totally meets my needs. This is my third Hyundai. I am hopeful that it will live up to the long life my other two Hyundai's had. The last is 21 years old and is still going strong. Three people want it. Can't ask for more than that.

Great mini SUV

Gift for my college son. He really loves Venue Denim. Great value for the money. Great MPG. All safety features are equipped even more than my Lexus SUV with full options. No moonroof option for Denim, though.

New Benchmark for City Cars

The Venue is a fun and adorable car to drive. Powertrain is enough for daily driving. Perfect city car. The Venue has much more room than everyone expects on the inside. Smooth ride. Great visibility. Great gas mileage. Super easy to park. Very affordable. Lots of features that more expensive vehicles will not even have

The Menue with the Venue

The Venue is a eye catcher it demands a second look. City driving can be a challange, requiring nibble movements. That's where the Venue comes into play. Parking is easy due to it size, the rear camera provides added safety no second guessing. It has braking assistance to help over ride operator error. Over all the Venue is priced well for its qualities. I give it a buy rating.

Best car I've ever purchased

I absolutely love everything about my Hyundai Venue. It looks great, drives great and gets unbelievable mileage. I have owned other SUVs and the Venue is by far the best. It's a great value for the money. Looks like a very high end car for an unbelievably affordable price.
