My Jeep is a 2001. Overall it has been a good suv.
We have had trouble with the brakes jumping when we began to stop the car, but the dealer fixed it twice with the brakes Dodge sent and finally we took it to Auto Masters and they fixed it. But that was several years ago. The electrical has gone out twice - windows wouldn't go down and interior lights stayed on. Once we had them fixed at the dealers and once at Auto Masters. The second time was today and they helped me by fixing them and then not charging me. It was the wiring in the door that broke. Recently, the transmission was having difficulty surging after turning a corner and we took it in and it took two visits to completely fix it. First it was the Surging do to a computer problem and then it needed transmission fluid -- they could not find where it was leaking. Overall, it is easy to get my husbands wheel chair in and out of the back and easy to pack for a long trip. I feel safe in it. The seats are getting a little tired, but the upholstery has been very nice all along. The framing of the roof window comes off at times, but I have put it back. The Jeep labels are getting tired and peeling. One thing that disturbs me when I drive is the front window; the corner where the wind-wing used to be placed causes a blind spot and I don't always see a car coming. The paint is good. Like I said, overall I am happy with it.
