Comfy, safe, work horse of a truck

I bought my "Betsy" tacomma in 2009. She has served me well. I drive Hwy 10, going to AZ. The wind is quite strong. This truck, doesn't get pushed around, and it sets up higher. I have the extra cab, which is great for personal stuff. Thanks.

A Great Truck with one drawback

Overall, I have been happy with my certified pre-owned 2009 Toyota Tacoma. For the gardening work that I do it has been very good. The one feature which has been my least favorite are the windshield wipers. It is the speed which concerns me. There are only 3 speeds and no fine-tuning. In a climate like the Pacific Northwest this is not good. In rainy weather I often find myself constantly flicking the wiper arm because the speed isn't quite right. What I need is the intermittent wiper type with interval adjuster. It was probably my fault when I bought the truck and didn't notice it. It was a sunny, dry day, so I didn't think to test the wipers. I would suggest that Toyota sales personnel make sure they point out to customers if a vehicle has the non-intermittent type. It may seem like something small, but in the long rainy season it adds up to a lot.

A Good, Reliable Truck

My Tacoma has been a great truck, except for a steering column problem that cost me a pretty good chunk of money at only 63,000 miles. Also the wheels rusted after only 2 Buffalo winters.

Reliable Vehicle.

My Tacoma is a 2009 that I bought new from West Herr Toyota. The Tacoma has been a really good truck. My only complaint - and it has become a problem - is the corrosion and rust on the wheels. They started rusting the second year I had the truck. And about 6 months ago I started having trouble with the valve stems in the tires. This may seem like a small problem - until you find out fixing them means replacing them at about $150.00 each! Although I like the truck very much, this problem has put a damper on it. I've had it 6 years and only have 63,000 miles on it.
