Volkswagen in the 21st Century....
What had humble beginnings in the 1940s, the Volkswagen corporation has become a major international force, becoming one of the most popular cars in the entire world--even in Brazil, where it is the most-seen car and bus on the road. In 1975 I was on tour in Brazil and had passed by the VW factory which seemed to be a mile long--I forgot which city this was in, Sao Paolo maybe? Despite all the geopolitical changes throughout the world, Volkswagen has endured and prospered and here in the 21st Century, still leads the way with its exciting models such as the Jetta, the Tiguan and the VW Eos which is a 2 door sports car with turbo charge. The car handles like a dream, is well made, has plenty of power--and is still an economy car that gets great mileage. The VW Eos Komfort is a joy to own and drive-make no mistake about it. PS: If you ever get to visit Germany, visit Wolfsburg and drop in to the Autostadt to check out that fabulous auto museum. They have an annual international music festival at the end of May/early June! Bill Turner
