Solid, dependable and fun to drive!

I've had a LOT of cars over more than a fewl decades and this is my favorite of them all. Don't think that because it's a wagon it's boring. It's not. It's still a Golf and even the base model is far from boring. They're simply fun cars to drive. The extra cargo space takes nothing away from the fun factor. The extra space past the rear wheels takes nothing away from the handling. The car is no slouch but if you want it to perform better there are a lot of aftermarket bolt-ons that give it more of a yee-haw feeling. In my case I replaced the resonator with a Vibrant Performance 1792 bottle resonator, replaced the muffler with a Borla 40659 ProXS muffler and replaced the air filter with a K&N 33-3005. It sounds like a GTI and gained about ten-percent in horsepower. It also shaved off a good sixty-pounds. As to the factory rims, they're just "meh." I replaced those with GTI copies from Ebay and they gave the car the look that goes with its performance upgrades. If your into frequent road trips, you don't need a baby SUV for that extra cargo space. The Sportwagen is just as utilitarian without giving up the fun factor..

Love this vehicle!

I wanted a Manual Transmission Wagon. This was one of few and had been regularly maintained. I needed a beater, I bought luxury! Solid, with features 5 years ahead of the competition. A bit more money yo maintain, but the trade-off in smooth, quiet ride and performance is worth the extra cost of maintenance.

2015 vw sportwagon tdi

This is the second tdi sportwagon i have had. Between the two i have gone 500,000 miles. Even after a tweek by vw to improove emissions on highway trips i can get 60mpg. Local stop and go is mid 40. Brakes last forever and almost no parts needed exept tires wipers oil and filters. Great car!!!

2015 VW Golf Sportwagen SEL TDI

We received a great deal on this car when they went back on the market in 2017. It was manufactured in 2015 so it sat on a dealer lot for at least 18 months. During that time period, things/parts can go bad. We had to replace the battery soon after buying the vehicle and the dealer would not pay for it. We think the front brake pads were replaced before we took ownership but the back weren't replace The cooling system clogged but the dealer paid for the repairs. The only other misrepresentation is the highway mileage. It won't get 43 MPG like the book says.

VW Golf TDI was great except for NOx emissions

VW Golf TDI was great on 50 mpg, 6 speed manual function except for NOx emissions & VW Corp repaired & replaced it. I bought a repaired one, as it is so fuel efficient & reliable. Now I want only all electric vehicles due to fossil fuels contributing to climate change & 6 th mass extinction. I purchase only renewable energy & are installing 10 Kw. Solar now. VW is planning on selling all electric vehicles.

Purchased GOLF SPORTSWAGON TDI for 50 mpg mileage & handling

I was very disappointed that my 2015 VW was, amongst other diesels, sold me under the misrepresentation of actual NOx emissions. I can only trust that the software & hardware repair was valid. Generally, I Purchased GOLF SPORTSWAGON TDI for 50 mpg mileage & handling.

Very nice car. VW made a mistake regarding the TDI emission testing. This is my second TDI involved - believe VW should monetarily reimburse owners like myself
