UPDATE: leaks water where they said they put in the new heater core.
WE ARE GOING TO COURT! I would not trust this company!
Took my car to them 2 times to fix an oil leak. Still leaking oil they claimed it was trany fluid even though I know what oil looks like! They claimed they put a coil in and replaced my transmission and a bypass value half the work they claimed they did wasn’t on paper work the first time I took my car to them (3hours away) I ended up needed a new rear heater core they broke my back panel which they fixed the second time I took my car to them they also left off the engine cover the first time so I got that back now keep in mind it’s a 3 hour drive for us. When I got my car back the first time I also had a check engine light come on right away
They did work on it the second time something about a coil (idk if they actually did it . It’s not in paper work) and my check engine light just came on again and I still am leaking OIL!!! OIL not trani fluid I’m pissed I have dumped over 1k in to brooks auto and now I’m taking it to someone else I’m done! I want my car leak free and to run right. Also the first time I got it back it was coverd in mud and I called and asked and got an excuse about haven temp people well teach them to respect other peoples stuff! No excuse! Save ur self time and money and find a better place to take ur car! And I have to take it to dodge cause after the first time my car says service keyless system. I bought my car from brooks and they did us right but I’m not sure y they can’t fix the oil leak or even put all the work they did down on paper and a 6month warranty for a transmission they have absolutely no history about is crap!

Restoring an "89 Toyota pickup that I bought from a Toyota dealership mechanic. He had given up on it after replacing the engine when it developed a miss. I gave Brooks a try after every local mechanic refused to even let it in the door. Seems that the "89-96 models have a computer but the diagnosis is quite complex meaning the mechanic needs to know what he is doing. I dropped it off there with no expectations other than "It is over my head". The bottom line here is that it took a bit but now the car runs perfectly. How many shops would replace vacuum hoses, MAP sensors, EGR valves, wires and etc. Thank you. Restoration savvy shop.

The owner cares!
We appreciate the willingness of the owner to work with us on repairs needed on a used truck we bought from his shop.
The 50% labor Warranty is a nice perk this business offers, as used cars are not always perfect.
We felt as though Mr. Brooks really cares about making things right, and stands behind his word of doing everything he can to help if there is a problem.
It's nice to find a business owner that does care about his customers situation, and is there to assist any way he can!
Even though we had to do repairs, we felt assured that we'd be taken care of with as little out of pocket as possible.
Thank you Gary Brooks for being hands on and involved with our repairs!

Bad Tranny didn’t care
Make sure a Mechanic inspects it first. They sell auction cars with bad transmission like mine. Poor customer service dishonest

The worst
They had my car for a week for what was to be a 4 hour job. They claimed my car kept shutting off which I never had that problem. I finally get my car back and the issue was not fixed. They decided to charge for a job I did not request. I drove my car car for 2 days and now will not start. I never got the original issue I took it there for fixed and now I dont have a drivable car. We bought 2 cars from brooks because of the 50/50 mechanic but seems they only do 50% of work. I was also charged 20$ for 10$ of gas because according to them they upcharge when they have to but gas even though the gas station is across the street and my car had gas in it. And I might add my car was filthy when I got it back. Very disappointed we were going to go back for another purchase but because of their mechanics we will shop else where and so should everyone.
UPDATE: I called and spoke to Gary he now refuses to work on my car. But wants the negative review taken down. As we looked under the hood we saw there is a missing cover and a screw driver inside. I took pictures and will be taking it to small claims court. They made my car undrivable and now refuse to fix their mistake..Thanks alot GARY!
Please think twice before you shop with them.

Great Experience
I bought a Chevrolet Spark EV from Brooks Motor Company. You might say, so. Well, I live in Eau Claire, Wi. David Mcjannett went above the call of duty. The correspondence back and forth was great. He handled all the paperwork and everything went smoothly.
Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. Great car and a nice deal.

Long-term customer
I'm not sure how a business that's been around for so many years only has 1 negative review, but my guess is you have to pay YELP to have the good ones stick? Anyway, here is my story:
What can I say? Here it goes: I bought a 1994 Suburban and a 2003 Dodge Caravan in the same month. Financing was easy on the Caravan through Oregon Community Credit Union, and I paid cash for the Suburban. The owner noticed a "tick" sound in the Suburban and offered to replace the exhaust manifold (which he did later at no cost). Although I have had to replace quite a few items on my Suburban, it has never left me on the side of the road dead. The van, I gifted to my wife, who has driven it "lightly" for quite some time now. Both vehicles had 180,000 miles on them when I bought them, and both vehicles are still running. The Suburban just flipped 200,000 last week, so I figured this would be a good time to write my review
The sales staff is fairly laid back and not pushy like I have experienced at other places on Mcloughlin, and I never felt pressured on either purchase. In fact, I was allowed to stay long after closing when I purchased the van, and also was offered to spend a week or so driving the Suburban to see if I wanted to keep it (due to the fact that I bought the Suburban for my wife and she didn't want it). So, I kept the Suburban and then bought the van a few days later. One thing I noticed, is the price is the price, and you don't have to haggle. Since the credit union checks the Kelly Blue Book for me, I know it was a fair price, because I bought it with ZERO down at less than 5% for 60 months.
I noticed some plaques on the wall from a local grade school that Brooks Motors had donated to, so I even felt better about my purchases.
I also referred my dad, Lee, to their service center, and they were able to completely reconstruct a 1991 Dodge Stealth that was slammed into by our local power company. We were amazed, and even when we pointed out that there was a small blemish in the new paint and we THOUGHT the window used to be tinted, the owner rushed the car right back to the body shop, fixed the blemish and tinted the window (this was outsourced). I feel the need to point out this car was basically totaled and I don't think any other shop would have or could have done this kind of work. They literally located a "back end" from another Stealth and shipped it in from out of state. A week later (after getting the Stealth back), it was backed into again, and we brought it straight back to Brooks to have it fixed again. No problems at all on the second fix.
I usually don't give a "5 star" rating, but after buying two cars that are still running, having another fixed at the shop/collision center, and considering the fact that all 3 are still on the road, I feel very confident to recommend this dealership. Are they used cars? Yes. Are they absolutely perfect? No. Was I treated fairly and honestly in a professional manner? Yes. Would I buy from Brooks again? Yes.

Trustworthy Sales
Last year I bought a car from them. I went to several car lots in the area and each one of them slimy and tried to get me to sign my life away and lied to me. Not this place. They were extremely calm and collected and didn't speak to fill the air. They were friendly and it felt genuine. So did their answers when we asked questions. I'm still happy with my car and there is no doubt that this is the car lot I will buy from again and will recommend.

Shawn said everything went well. This business has excellent service.
Michelle said she went to this business because her battery kept draining and it wouldn't hold a charge. She said they installed a new battery, but 4 days later the new battery lost it's charge. She said she went to another auto business that her family recommended and she was told she needed new fuses. She won't recommend this business based on this experience.
