Cats is SHADY AND DISHONEST (REMEBER THIS IF YOU DEAL WITH FRANK)
Took my car here because rear wheel was making a squeaking sound and clicking. Had my brakes done here June of last year, so I figured I would take it here. I also mentioned a squealing sound upon start up. Hour later Frank is telling me the adjusted the brakes and greased them for $100, then $72 for them to diagnose the sound (note: never informed me there would be a charge to diagnose, or even what it would have cost to fix brake noise). Then he tells me the squealing sound is your timing chain and that will be $1800." Most places will adjust your brakes with no charge if you bought them from the shop, not to mention who charges to diagnose a sound. When I complained about it, then Frank starts naming of random stuff, "oh, he had to drain the oil to check for metal shavings." I explained to Frank, that it is not too business smart to charge me $172 for doing minimal work and then ask me to come back to get a $1800 job done. PLEASE HEED THE 1 STAR REVIEWS, THESE ARE SCAM ARTISTS. I should have learned when they broke my hubcap and tried say it was damaged when I brought it. JUST REMEMBER WHAT I SAID IF YOU SPEAK WITH FRANK - SHADY & DISHONEST.

Called to see if they specialize in my issue and car. Dropped my car off Monday morning got a quote Monday afternoon put a deposit down. Tuesday get a call they quoted wrong part and wanted more money. I said not my fault he ordered wrong part. Then it was the right part magically. Then go to pick up my car because they test drive it and it was ready. Go to pick it up they lose my valet key I lost 40 min of my life waiting. They found it. I go in the car and the same exact reason why I brought it in issue is still there. Mechanic doubted me so I took him outside and showed it was actually worse. Then go back inside to hear they didn’t even have power steering fluid in the shop. So that means they
“Test drove” my car with no power steering fluid? So now I’m inconvenienced again and was supposed to get a call a few hours ago and nothing. How have they been in business for so long? Customer Service where’s it at?

I have my car at the shop, today I went to pick it up from repairs now all of a sudden my transmission broke it drove fine on Wednesday but now it’s broke! Hummmm some thing is not right here sure the towing company slammed the trans into park and dragged it o have pictures of my tire marks on the road, iam getting ahold of my attorney both of these issues Iam not paying another cent someone damaged my car like I said before it worked fine on Wednesday ???? then I was quoted $2900 plus by cat!!!! I DONT THINK SO!!!!!! The mechanic is awesome he said he could pull the transmission there and fix it but they don’t want that per Frank he says he has a guy who does transmission yeah I don’t think so my car is gonna come back to my house and I will deal with it through the court system. One pissed off motherfucker I am

Over priced for battery installation
Front service is nice, but they will ripp you with service. They charge for diagnostics. Even if you get a service from there they will not wave it. That's very strange. Every where else you go they will wave it if service is done there these guys won't tell you until everything is done cuz they will just show you on the final bill and then when they giving you code they will not give you a breakdown. They will just give you the whole sum that how much it will cost you to have this issue fixed. For simple battery installation, I was charged $130 for the battery $20 for store supplies and $90 for installation and top of that $65 for diagnostics. No you guys do the math for battery installation. You think that was a fair charge?

LIARS & CROOKS
I took my brand new Truck in for a full synthetic oil change just to find out a month later that my car had a suspicious leak & a day later my check engine light on & an indicator saying that my engine oil pressure was low. I took it into Jeep service & they informed me that For 1, my dipstick was missing & for 2, I HAD NO OIL EVEN IN MY CAR!!! my filter was tampered with and they had put a hole in it. I drove around for a whole month WITHOUT oil in my engine!!! I could’ve been driving my car & it could’ve blew up on me @ any given moment!!! How scary that they put peoples lives in danger. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN ASAPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!! Beware!!

They've done it again!
Cats Auto has never let me down! I took my car in for an oil change and found out I also had another needed repair. The next day, I brought my car back to have a valve cover gasket replaced. As always the job was done within the timeframe given to me the day before and for a good price. I will never go to any other auto repair business.

They broke the heart of a loyal customer
It breaks my heart to write this review. I have been a loyal customer of CATS auto repair for many many years. I recommended them to friends and family over those years, none of whom still go to CATS because of suspicions of fraudulent practices. I however defended them to the very end…but that end is now.
I brought my car in to CATS for a routine oil change, as usual, and was informed I needed $3,700 worth of immediate and serious repairs, including new radiator...there was major seam leak. The car must stay in the shop overnight for safety. I could not drive it home. It could EXPLODE at any time. The next morning, at the urging of my family who had suspicions, I took the chance of driving my “exploding car” figuring my gauges would let me know of overheating problems and brought it to another shop for a full evaluation. A team of Certified Master Mechanics determined all that was wrong with my car was worn windshield wipers...$35 repair. No “ low coolant, radiator leak in the seam, steering rack leaking at left inner seal, or leaking into bellows.” Hoses didn’t need to be replaced, nor did the thermostat, and didn’t yet need a tune-up, just windshield wipers. They lifted the car and let me see underneath. There should’ve been evidence of some type of leaking of fluids and moisture but it was completely dry, even with it raining that day and the roads being wet.
I was devastated and heartbroken. I’m a widow and a senior citizen. How could they have taken advantage of me like that?
Don’t make the same mistake I did. If you consider yourself a long-time loyal customer and that they would never do such a thing to you, think again. They surely did it to me.

Lying about oil leak
I went for oil change. They told me to replace the oil pan and the gasket due to oil leaking but when I asked my mechanic friend he told me that it was not necessary. Please please please don’t go to this place. They will take at least $500 from you by saying that you have oil leaking problem.

Incompetent crooks
I do most of the work on my car but I needed new tires with balancing and suspension alignment. I figured I will take it to a local place next to my work. Big mistake. I had them mount, balance tires and do the alignment (or they claimed). They run a "special" for alignment but don't provide a printout of before and after numbers. My car ended up pulling to the right even though it was driving fine before I took it there. The car was shaking above 50 mph after tires were changed. The balance was not done properly. I checked the tire pressure twice at home with 2 different gauges and it was 48 psi (tire max is 51). I couldn't believe my eyes. Luckily it was't a hot summer day. My wife could have had a blowout with 2 kids in the car. Normal pressures for my car are 30 psi front, 32 rear.
To top it off, they didn't reinstall the wheel caps on the car properly and one was completely missing.
I took the car to Firestone, had the balance and alignment done, and now it drives fine. Firestone people told me the alignment was off, and all 4 wheels had missing weights and were off balance. Tire pressures were 10-15 psi higher than normal and my car was at risk of blowout with new tires. Crooks at Cat Automotive had charged me for work they didn't do at all except mounting the tires.
If they screw up a simple job, imagine what would happen if they did something more involved on the engine and transmission.
Stay away from this place if you value your car and your life

They tried to sting me....
I took my vehicle to Cats for a simple full synthetic oil change after waiting a few minutes i was approached by Junior who stated that i needed a new radiator that they had done a pressure check and it was spraying all over and there was no coolant in the car i started to panic as i am a commuter driving 210 miles each way between work and home twice a week i immediately said its under warranty and called the contract company. They verified that the radiator was covered and Junior asked to speak with the representative. So as i was standing there my brain kicked into full gear and began to process what was being said so i started asking questions something just didn't feel right. My car has a monitoring system why didn't it say "coolant low" why hadn't i seen any sign of thing spewing leak? I walked over and looked under the hood and saw that the reservoir that holds the antifreeze was empty then my boyfriend said hey when i changed the headlight the other day that was full...these deceivers had drained the antifreeze out of my car. It was awfully convienient that they had a radiator that fit my car ready to go they tried to refuse me my car syinga that i had already reported the issue and that by driving it i would damage the engine. I stood my ground took my vehicle paid for the oil change and went straight to AAMCO....who did the same pressure test with me standing right there and guess what no leak everythings GREAT with my car...i will never understand the need to lie when the truth will do....i would've gladly referred business as i work for a major US airline and just wanted to make it to and from work and home safely but they thought they found a sucker....YOU LOSE CATS AUTO REPAIR

We've been coming here for years for an oil change with no issues until I referred my SIL for repairs. She had to bring it in 3xs and the issue was never fixed. EVERY time she left, there was another issue they discovered or caused. After these instances, I still brought my car in for oil changes on our 2 cars because we had no issues in the past. But then it began; the unnecessary work we needed.
1- Need new tires even though my tires were less than 1 year and I drive about 7,000 miles a year.
2- Need new rear brakes even though I got them done 3 months prior.
3- Husband's car needed something on his radiator done but we found out it was not needed when we got a second opinion.
4- Called to see how much front brake pads are and was asked if I had gone somewhere else first. Shouldn't their price be consistent regardless if I got another estimate?
5- Stripped a screw in my husband's car that he didn't notice until months later.

For as long as this business has been open, you'd think they would know that people are looking for honesty, especially in a mechanic because the customer can't see what goes on in the garage. Honesty is what brings back customers and gets new ones.
Shame on you.
