Ripped Off- Overpriced
Took my 2020 Elantra in for a new battery. Was told over the phone that the cost would be about $255.00. Upon completion of the service, I was presented with a bill for $410.35 with $115.00 of this charge being for labor.Seems to me a lot of money to loosen two bolts, replace the old with new and retighten the same two bolts. This $115.00 was supposed to be the charge for 1/2 hour of labor. Definitely overcharged for service provided

Rediculous! 0 stars
Do NOT trust the used car sales dept. We bought my niece her 1st car, a used Subaru Forester. She had some noises and rust on rotors that they took off. Then 5 months later she needed new rotors because they were pitted and brake pads. When I talked with used sales manager Steve about helping with the cost due to the previous rust issue that ultimately let to them needing to be replaced. His response was the car passed inspection and he wasn’t going to do anything. So when there was something else going wrong we took it to Subaru, a month after the brake ordeal the key in the car wouldn’t come out, an arm bushing needed to be put in because it was sooo bad the wheel could have fallen off and lastly a new battery. How scary that Hyundai would have sold a car that had what could have been deadly consequences!!! The battery was said to have been replaced a month before we bought the car but when I saw it and it was taken out, it had battery acid leaking down and looked like it was 5 yrs old! Do NOT TRUST buying a used car from this dealership!! After all said we paid 14k then paid another $2,400 in repairs in 6 months 😡😡😡😡 Christine Lohr

Terrible experience buying a car
I had a frustrating experience at Centereach Hyundai due to their finance manager's unprofessionalism and misinformation. Despite my salesperson's great service, the finance manager tried to dissuade me from using the Hyundai Circle Program, which offered $3,800 off the total price. I felt uncomfortable as a woman, as he treated me like I was uninformed about financing and questioned my credit union's rate in front of me. He falsely claimed I couldn't combine the Hyundai Circle with my own financing, which Hyundai Motor America confirmed was untrue. Why would I pay more for a car?

The finance manager offered a $588 monthly payment without revealing the interest rate, while my credit union offered $335 per month. To make matters worse, my son overheard him making derogatory comments about me.

After putting down a deposit, I was told the car wasn’t available, causing a major inconvenience since I had already secured my loan. Calls for updates went unanswered, leading me to cancel the check. Only after I requested my deposit back did they call to say they had located a new vehicle.

Hyundai Motor America apologized for the issues, filed a complaint, and advised me to go to another dealer. Another dealership offered a better price, more for my trade-in, and honored the Hyundai Circle Program with special Hyundai financing—all things the manager at Centereach said couldn't be done. I don't recommend Centereach Hyundai due to this experience. I had a completely different, positive experience at another Hyundai dealership—they were straightforward and professional.

A disaster
Employees are totally disorganized and underhanded

Received request for Additional documentation When vehicle was already out for Delivery

They also attempted to add new charges at this point

Have received another request for additional documentation Three weeks after after after delivery

Attempting to reach them by phone was never successful. Put on hold several times transferred several times and still no body on the other end of the call.

This place is disorganized and just an awful dealership to purchase a car in. They try to upcharge everything and they try to add hidden fees into your contract. Awful organization and terrible with comunication.

Impossible to get in touch with the service droartment
We leased a 2023 Santa Fe on August 2023. The tire pressure indicators have disappeared from the picture on the instrument panel. I called service and was dumped into VOICEMAIL, which tells me that they are understaffed. I have left 4 VM’s and have yet to be called back. “Voice mail hell” means I will never receive a call back. When the lease is up we will return the vehicle and go lease a Honda or a Toyota.

Terrible Service
This whole dealership is VERY DISORGANIZED! Brought my car into service a month ago to get an oil change and to get some service recalls done. The service advisor Greg told me I had a few recalls and that parts would have to be ordered for 2 of them so they would call me back to schedule an appointment.

I waited there for an oil change for 3 and a half hours!!! I sat in the waiting room and noticed the sign on the front door of their service door entrance stating oil changes are fast because they know customers have places to be. Greg happened to be walking through the waiting area and saw me after the 3rd hour and nonchalantly said "you're waiting on the oil change, right?" Which I told him yes and he said "I'll get someone right on it" which I then saw my car being pulled into the garage.

There was another gentleman sitting in the waiting room who was there before I arrived and his car service was already done but no one in the service area told him. He sat there for over a half hour waiting after it was done and the only reason I know is because I saw the service tech park his car in the pickup area of the parking lot.

Lastly I called the other day asking on the status of the parts for my car recall came in and was told by the service dept to check with the parts dept. they transfer me and the parts advisor tells me there was nothing on record that was ordered and that I could try talking to Greg who originally coordinated this. While I heard Greg call and put the request in the day I was there this whole experience is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!

Based on all the negative reviews of this dealership it seems mgmt or the owner doesn't care and that's sad considering Hyundai makes good cars but their dealership like this is terrible!!!

Stay away from Hyundai Centereach
I was very upset and deeply disappointed by what happened to me at Hyundai Centereach yesterday. They write me a message to come for special offers and offer nothing. The manager and sales person does not help me and I lost time.They sent me out saying that I’m in the wrong place, that I am not realistic … Stay away from Hyundai Centereach !

WORST SERVICE DEPT I EVER USED
I went there to service my 2022 Hyndai for warranty and recall service. They had my car for entire day and didn't even look at it. After I picked it up they said they would call me back to discuss what happened, but NO call back. It's been over 2 weeks and still no call back.
DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR AT THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!

3 weeks after towing a car here still waiting to hear what's wrong with the car
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! The car issue is a safety issue might be covered by warranty, but dealer is giving the run around I will be adding my review to the BBB next

I'm hoping to get a response from either the one call "owner" who replies to all the review or someone that has a real update in the Hyundai in Centereach, my son's car was towed there on 2/17 early morning because his car steering wheel locked while driving, and has the engine light on, after calling the service dept few times that afternoon had to wait for over 30minutes, put on hold several times every time I called and transferred to different people and kept on having to explain the situation each time finally got a person on the phone explained what happened again and ask for an update, we were told they couldn't look at the car that day but will check it on Monday and we will get an update then, Wednesday came we called for an update since no one from the dealer called to give us one the last few days, once again after several calls and long wait on the line for someone to answer we were told the technician that could look at the car was not in but will look at it the next day (Thursday 2/23) once again no call, we called Friday again same issue no one available to take the call after few attempts we got to a live person just to tell us the service manager was gone for the day and we couldn't get an update, but someone will call us back Monday 2/27 so during this time there is no loaner which is obvious since they haven't checked the car and we werent asking for one obviously no one called so my son decided to stop by the dealer to pickup stuff from his car and get an update 3/1 once again he was told the technician was not in to check his car, Between my son and husband calling and stopping by the dealer we ran out of patience no one have taken the time to check the car or give a valid explanation of why they haven't look at the car for the last 3 weeks just so we could get an update on what's wrong with the car! how long it will take to get it repaired! The car issue is an obvious safety issue. Today is 3/8 and the update received today was both technician and service manager are out sick we will have someone call you tomorrow. Overall very disappointed this is the end to support a local Hyundai dealership!!!

This dealership is all about making money off of its customers. They do not care how they treat you once the sale is over. If you have a problem with your vehicle it's your problem they will not assist or help in any way. Run from the dealership.
