Repair Shop CLOSED ---- Permanently?
Colonial BP has been a "five star" place to get repairs done for years. I have been a loyal customer for a long time. Brought my car in on 10/10/21. Requested three items be fixed. The only item they could fix was the oil change. Why? The mechanic working was the only mechanic employed. And he said he was going to retire this week. He said the shop would be permanently closed on Monday (10/25/21.) I was very disappointed to hear that. However, maybe some day they will re-open? Hope so.

Oil change
Overall I have been satisfied over the last 20 years w regular oil changes and
Frequent repairs, however a recent oil change price was the same even though I provided the oil filter- normally a $10 cost figured into the $34 charge.(the reason I provided the oil filter was because my previous oil change on the same vehicle was $12 higher due to a shortage of parts inside oil filters apparently) so I paid $10 for one at local parts store and brought it in. Lo and behold come to pick it up and I’m charged the same $34 as if I hadn’t brought the filter.
I’m not a complainer but it does seem like some reduction in cost should be credited? Don’t ya think?

Another example of the American consumer getting ripped off by the man.

Even though it was only an oil change, it was an oil change that I suddenly realized it was WAY overdue. They worked me in on a half hour notice. Super service!
