I came to this shop to get an estimate for my insurance. While we were speaking in the office, he was viewing papers that looked familiar to me and when I asked him if they were mine, he confirmed that they were. I then realized that while he was supposed to be taking pictures of the damage on the OUTSIDE of my car, he was actually looking through the inside of my car WITHOUT MY CONSENT or KNOWLEDGE and took papers out of it and into his office! He not only opened and looked through my car, but took papers from it. He took my personal property, and when I questioned him about where he obtained my papers, he lied and evaded the question and changed the subject. This is completely unprofessional, unethical, deceitful and dishonest. It’s an invasion of my privacy; how am I supposed to feel comfortable leaving my car here when they’re doing things like this while I’m standing a few feet away. I was so shocked at his behavior and lack of remorse that I was unable to ask for his name. I just wanted to remove myself from this awful situation; I then called the insurance and informed them of this and was referred to another shop. PLEASE BEWARE.
