I am sorry that we were not able to foresee which part would be necessary to fix your vehicle. Your hatch has two different lifts and we had to diagnose which lift was causing the concern before we could order the part. It isn't feasible to keep all parts in stock when they so frequently become obsolete with new models coming out all the time. I know you were frustrated and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Every new Hyundai is meticulously detailed and filled with fuel before delivery. We do apologize for the rudeness you received from one of our managers. The service repairs were fully covered by factory warranty. During the first warranty repair visit, we washed and vacuumed the vehicle but no complete detail was performed. We believe the demand to detail the vehicle was unreasonable after it had been in your possession for more than three years and in its current abused and lived-in condition. However, the detail department was instructed to do a complete detail on the vehicle upon completion of the second warranty repair. Management instructed the detail department to save everything within the car because we had no way of knowing what was trash and what might be valuable to you. Our mistake was to fail to tell you that this sealed bag was in the trunk. We regret the entire situation but feel we handled it the best possible way at the time.
