Thief
I’m currently in the Army and doing some upgrades to my vehicle with another shop. The mechanic working on my truck at the other shop quit and went to Gary’s. When he quit he stole my full axle that he was supposed to take to powder coating, along with tools and other equipment from his previous employer. There is a police report filed and waiting for warrants to be issued. I went up to Gary’s to find out if the mechanic would give my axle back to me since I had nothing to do with him and the other owners drama. Mind you I have 2 toddlers and a wife and with one vehicle it’s extremely hard to get around. I’ve been without this vehicle for over 3 months. The lady at the front of Gary’s said that the mechanic called in sick and she would call me when he came in so I could talk to him. I waited a whole month no call. I drove by Gary’s and saw the mechanics truck so I stopped in again. This time I asked to talk with the mechanic to hear his side of the story. The owners came out and said absolutely not I wasn’t going to talk to his employee. I asked if he could take a 5 min break to talk with me outside he said absolutely not. Then I put the whole sob story out to him about why am I the one paying the price something that was purely between the last shop owner and everything else. He finally let me talk with him but in the lobby, where he could hear everything. The mechanic admitted he sole multiple things from the shop, including my axle. Pretty much said it wasn’t any of my business. While the owner of Gary’s was right there the whole time. If you don’t want anything stolen from your car don’t take it to Gary’s trust me. Also the guy in question is a known felon you can look him up in public records on Taylor county’s website. Justi n Clar k
