Great Cars, Horrible Service
Where do I begin, I have a Genesis G80 5.0, unfortunately the Transmission failed at 70,000 miles, which is pretty low mileage all things considered, I luckily had an aftermarket warranty cover the costs as I am the second owner of the car. Factory warranty does not transfer. The process went smoothly there, car was in and out of there in 5 days, couldn't complain there. Unfortunately my front passenger side wheel got heavily scratched and the wheel was sent to be repainted. I have Genesis G90 wheels. I said okay no problem, I got the car back maybe a week later and I got back a poorly painted wheel that looked nothing like the original wheel. Now maybe some people might say, oh what's the big deal, but it was noticeable in the Sun. I took the car back and they finally gave me a loaner, a very nice G70 2.0t, but awaited to hear back soon, they were going to repaint the wheel. 2 weeks go by and nothing. I had to drive myself to the body shop only to find out no one had touched it yet because the wheel lock was missing, but I should have expected better communication honestly between the Body Shop (Marlin Motors) and Kendall Hyundai/Genesis of Kendall. I eventually have to push everyone around to get started on the car, another 2 weeks go by, so we're at a month already without my car, and I get back a nightmare. Not only did the body shop damage my car in multiple places. But they painted THE WRONG WHEEL! now I have two painted front wheels that look nothing like the factory finished rear wheels. But not only that, I have a nice paint chip on my passenger door, a nice paint chip on my passenger mirror, and a cracked and heavily scratched front grille. AND 2 of my wheel studs were broken, which I had to replace. I was pretty fed up, I asked them to order new wheels for me, to which they claim they did, but I have yet to receive them, it's going on about 2 maybe 3 weeks now. (Total 2 months and counting) I had to repair the paint chips myself, which I had no problem doing but this shouldn't happen with a luxury car dealership. Not to mention that Hyundai technicians work on Genesis cars, when they should really be split work. Genesis needs it's own dealerships. Anyway thank you for reading. Buyer beware, the cars are great but the service, not so much. And please be careful as well because Genesis of Kendall/Kendall Hyundai pays customers to remove bad reviews. So I'm sure I'll be hearing from them soon. Thanks
