If you are looking for the best in Hyundai vehicle service and maintenance, "Huffines has it!"If you are looking for the best in Hyundai vehicle service and maintenance, "Huffines has it!"
I recently took my vehicle to Huffines to have the paint looked at after taking a survey Where I noted the problems with the paint on my 2023 Hyundai Kona. I was contacted by HMAUSA instructed to make to make an appointment with the closest dealership. I had to wait 30 days to get an Appointment with Huffines where I thought I would be treated well since I had been a loyal customer to that dealership. But I was NOT treated like a valued customer, the service advisor treated me very dismissively as though I didn’t know what I was talking about at all when I said the paint was thin on my car and chipping easily. There are places on my car you can see that the paint is very thin where the primer can be seen through the paint.
I was supposed to have an appointment with the Service Manager to get a recommend to have the body shop look at the paint per HMAUSA. I never made it that far, the service advisor that didn’t know anything about why I was there looked at the paint on my car for LESS than FIVE minutes. I was told by him that the paint chipping off this easily is normal. Should it be normal? I don’t think so. The car is barely over two years. With the service advisors assessment Hyundai has denied warranty. Huffines Hyundai didn’t even give me the courtesy of having a professional knowledgeable person look at my car. I have been a loyal customer at Huffines and to Hyundai with a total of three vehicles! And I was scheduled to buy another one. However, I will never buy another Hyundai and I will change dealership since the service and the way the people treat you at Huffines has gone down vastly. My first experience was with a 2008 Hyundai at that time the service was above excellent. And now it’s dropped to below horrible. You have to wait a long for an appointment and then be treated poorly during your service at Huffines. At this point, I would not make any recommendation to purchase or have anything serviced at Huffines or buy a Hyundai. I now have to now fill out all sorts of paperwork with the BBB auto line because of that service advisors less than five minute assessment. The question I have is; did the dealership have knowledge of the paint issues and sell it to me anyway? Also, the car was a 2023 right after Covid when vehicles were hard to get maybe the paint was accidentally rushed? The paint is thinnest in the door jams near the hinges and on a painted window frame inside of the car. But the dealership did not take the time to really look at my car. They simply dismissed me and scooted me along and said sorry not our problem.

Unfair selling tactics
I’ve bought 3 cars from Huffines Hyundai. I tried to buy 2 other cars only to have them break promises and try to take advantage of me. They offer a price that is much too high and offer you a trade in which is much too low. The sales person walks out of room and has a discussion with manager which takes 15 minutes each time and the sales person then tries to take advantage of you again. They know the first offer is unfair. I made it clear: I don’t like haggling. Give me a fair price or I’m walking out which I did. The salesman even admitted that Kelly Blue Book value was $4000 more than what they offered. If you are looking for a fair deal stay away from Huffines Hyundai.

Worst Experience at This Service Center! AVOID!
I scheduled an online service appointment for my GV80, and they confirmed they’d handle an open recall along with the service. Here’s how the day went:
11:30 AM: Checked in.
1:45 PM: Still no updates. Went to the advisor’s desk—only to find them laughing on a personal call, ignoring me as I waited.
After finally acknowledging me, the advisor casually said, "Your oil change is done, we’ll send an update." No proactive communication—I had to ask for a status update myself!
Then, they said they were "working on the recall." Waited until 3:30 PM—still no updates. Went back to the desk, only to face the same unprofessional behavior.
Finally, the advisor admitted, "We couldn’t do the recall. Sorry." Shocking! I wasted half a day just for an oil change—no lunch, no courtesy, no accountability.

Customer Service
10, Owen Williams you were fantastic. You had my car assessed, printed me the proposal, and scheduled me as soon possible! I understand the delay for the approval in the warranty process. I have my car for over two years and 93,000 miles on it! It is almost paid for so hopefully I can drive it for another 100k. When I am ready to buy another car it will only be a Hyundai! They have the best warranty program out there! Thank you Owen for helping me feel safe in my vehicle!

They look for reasons not to honour warranty
Bought a new Genesis at Huffines with platinum extended warranty. Car was rear ended four years ago, but was repaired fully. When my Blind Spot Detector fails over 4 years after the accident, Huffines claimed that the accident may have caused the accident and refused to cover it under warranty, even though it worked fine for the 4+ years since the accident. They charged me $3,400 for what should have been covered. I don't know how the Huffines service dept guys can sleep at night. Learn from my experience - don't buy or service your car at Huffines!!

Plano Awesome, McKinney, horrible!!
I test drove a car each at Huffines Plano and McKinney Preowned. No pressure at Plano. High pressure at McKinney. Plano Salesman was Becket, McKinney salesman Joel. Plano was exceptionally professional and courteous. McKinney was high pressure and seemed not to care. I recommend doing your homework before purchasing. I will purchase again and again from Huffines Plano. I would recommend Plano . I do not recommend McKinney

Had a great experience with service
I of course had reservations of having major service work done with a dealer.
Jonathan Spence was very transparent and responsive to all my needs.

Worst people ever you are warned
No greeting when you get there
The idiot wanted an appointment instead of helping an old lady needing urgent repair attention
They didn't bother
Reading other reviews are spot on. Suggest taking your car to other locations

Dealer cuts wire and says rodent damage
Some guy attended the car, know nothing about cars. Tried to sell fuel additives for $299. When declined they cut the harness wire and said rodent damage. I took to McKinney and they took care of everything under 45mins. Stay away from Plano service location. They're liars and make you wait for 0.3hr job

Do not expect help from their service dept
Bought my Hyundai Elantra 2 years with the promise of being under warranty, and when I would get my car serviced they would provide transportation and/or a loaner. For the past 2 years I have been regularly disappointed by this dealership with service.
Currently I have a problem with my shifter in my car. I called for a walk in, they are telling me it will take 3-5 business days to even LOOK at my car and scheduling won't be for 2 months. They are also not providing loaner cars.
After speaking with several people on the phone this morning no other help was offered other than go a week without a car or deal with this problem for 2 months.
If your looking to buy a car and think this dealership with provide service for your vehicle in the future look somewhere else.
Hyundais are fine cars but this dealership will not help you after you purchased the car.

Deceptive and Untrustworthy
A couple weeks ago our 2022 Santa Fe hybrid lost power and threw a bunch of codes creating an extremely dangerous situation in heavy traffic. We had it towed here, as they have done all the other servicing on our vehicle up to this point. After some issues with our initial service advisor, I spoke with the service manager and requested Luke because he had been so good to us before. Our vehicle had been with them for two weeks while they drove it trying to replicate the issue. I began to notice that messages and calls weren’t getting returned as they had before. On Tuesday, Luke had promised that we would be provided a loaner by Friday. He said we were a priority because the very first time we had our vehicle serviced they had forgotten to install a gasket and all the oil dumped out of the vehicle on my way to work. Friday came and again no returned texts or phone calls despite multiple attempts. I was finally able to contact him and he told me they were finding a loaner car right then, and I could come by and pick it up after work. He verified multiple times in that conversation that we would absolutely have that loaner vehicle. He said him and the service manager were working together on it. A half hour later the service manager called and said there was no loaner car, had never been a plan to give us one today, and that they had 80 undriveable cars with owners waiting for loaners. Basically, Luke had bold faced lied that a loaner would be happening. We made the decision to just pick up our vehicle, not because it was fixed or even diagnosed. We picked it up because trusting your $45,000 car with people that blatantly dishonest and shady is a bad idea. No telling what else they will lie to you about. Avoid at all costs! They sound good, but clearly they are snakes.
