Review of the Rebuttal
Update: since I was told on another site by the Owner to "watch my words"

I appreciate the warning. So i have had the chance this morning to look up the part. Again, thanks for the tip. With a quick Savvy lookup of the part, i was able find it as low as $96 and as high as $270. That’s definitely way under the $360 you were trying to get for it. i ordered the one from Amazon ($195), as it is manufactured by Danfoss which is the direct replacement and OEM recommended. I do also appreciate you bringing up my self-diagnosis. you see, i didn’t use YouTube, what I used was my 10yrs experience working for a local appliance repair facility and my past 13yrs in a field dedicated to electrical control. So why did i bring it to your shop? ya see...there was a possibly that once a controller is installed the compressor may or may not work, that would dive into the manufacturer warranty at that point which your shop is able to handle. You assume i had a problem with the cost of your Diagnosis, that only confirmed that I was 100% correct in my self-diagnosis. (Thanks for the boost of confidence). My problem therein lies with the fact that you were going to double the cost of the part and then add over $400 in Labor charges on top of the already $225 diagnostic charges. All that to install a part that has 1 philips screw holding it on. It should have taken a skilled tech less than 10 min to unbox and remove/replace the part on the fridge. Your prices on parts and labor were so outrageous that my Service contract company refused to pay them, so since you couldn't stick it to them, you tried to turn and stick it to me. I have received a few private messages since my post from individuals who have had similar experiences in your shop. I truly believe that you have gotten very comfortable in the practice of extremely overcharging people for parts/service and possibly parts they do not require. So when that one person comes along that actually challenges and questions you on it, your team gets a little flustered and cant explain it. Your little analogy above about the flu but having Covid was a nice tactic. I got one for you. its kind of like when you hit a pole with your car, the insurance company knows what it cost to buy and replace that bumper, so they give you a check for that amount less your deductible. You take it to a Body shop and they too know what that bumper cost and it’s pretty much spot on with the insurance quote. Imagine if that body shop doubled the price of the bumper, and then quadrupled the cost to put it on. You would be out not only your deductible but a lot more cash as well. But hey in your words "That’s the price of doing business". Someone who uses that term is probably someone you don't want to do business with. If I am capable of helping just one person avoid having to be taken advantage of, then this will have been completely worth it.

Thank you for the explanation. Now it makes perfect sense as to how the floor got damaged. Funny how you detailed the exact damage. You see, i only had the refrigerator out at the hole it goes into. You techs would have had to drag it about 4-5ft to the right after disconnecting the wiring to get it to the front door of the RV. So your detail in how the cut goes from left to right makes perfect sense. As far as the welcome mat is concerned, we put it down every time we use the rv to have a place to leave our shoes. I had a friend of mine take the linens out and guess he didn’t include the welcome mat as we normally do. You would think that if I damaged it over the weekend and wanted to blame your shop, I wouldn’t have glued it down. But it’s a fantastic glue job, it looks like someone was trying to hide it. As far as the rest of your rebuttal is concerned, I will address that tomorrow. Let’s be clear on one thing, I handed Dave my cc to pay what I needed to pay to pick my Rv up, and then questioned him on the floor, never once asking to not pay for a service. I just wasn’t going to allow you to further price gouge me on parts or labor. Thanks for the tip on being able to get that part from Amazon…i will check it out. Lastly, I’m always very careful in what I say. It would be awesome if there was a recording of my interaction in your shop today. It wasn’t until I mentioned to Dave that i was going to leave a review of my service that you stepped in and told him not to charge me. I paid, I have a right to my review of your shop, and I will be sure to express that concern to everyone I come in contact with!
