Ridiculous Service Fees
I just had my car in for service because the EPS light was on. Got some 90,000 mile work done. A timing belt, drive belts, oil and transmission pan plates. They said I needed and alternator because mine sometimes put out a low voltage. I had checked the computer codes before going and there were no faults. They charged me more than a thousand dollars in labor. My bill reads like its from a hospital. They charged $250.00 labor for the alternator even though they already would have had it apart to replace the belts. They charged me ten dollars LABOR for each quart of transmission fluid they put in on top of the labor for replacing the transmission plate. That's besides charging ten dollars a quart for ATF. I paid less than five hundred dollars for parts and over a thousand dollars for labor. That has to be more than a hundred dollars an hour. Guess what? Nothing wrong with the EPS. Maybe, it was all that snow that got in the engine compartment during the blizzard. Who knows? They saw me coming I guess. Is this how they're paying for that show room remodeling?

Hyundai Excessive Oil Consumption
Car started burning an excessive amount of oil. I am the original owner all oil/service records were maintained for the vehicle. Hyundai authorized an oil consumption study be completed at Mathews Hyundai in Marion, OH. Took the car in because I was adding 2 quarts of oil every two weeks. NO leaks anywhere, no smoke from the tailpipe. Service center kept the car for a few days, flushed the engine, changed valve cover gasket, took photos of valve train and returned the car overfilled by almost a quart of something (was clear liquid not any oil I had ever seen in my life). Check engine light was on when I picked up the vehicle due to whatever service they did to the car. The service they did caused the MAP sensor to be replaced. I was instructed to drive the vehicle for 1000 miles, bring it back to have the oil topped off and recorded. This would need to be done 3 times. Each time I brought the vehicle back I took a photo of the dipstick which was between low and empty. However, after the three trips of topping off the oil, Mathews service center came to the conclusion that the car had burned 1 quart of oil every 1285 mile and that it was normal according to Hyundai (Hyundai says 1 quart every 1000 miles is standard). At any rate their conclusion was I burned 3 quarts of oil which looking at the dipstick and knowing what I was adding, it is not possible it only burned quarts of oil during this study. My estimate is that it burned 5 quarts of oil during this period. Looking back I should have requested to see them top the car off and watch what they recorded. Hyundai manual indicates a 5000 mile oil change....according to Hyundais 1 quart per 1000 miles of oil consumption the car will not make it between oil changes. All of this said, Hyundai has multiple lawsuits against them regarding their engines for various reasons. If you do not believe me, please Google it. I am now joining the class action lawsuit for excessive oil consumption of these engines. I have purchased 2 Hyundais brand new in the past. I will never purchased another knowing they do not stand behind their product. What good is a warranty if they do not stand behind the product knowing they have a serious issue. If you or someone you know is looking for a Hyundai, I would strongly advise against it.

Delay in service after purchase
Our 2019 SantaFe that we bought new at this dealership developed a noise at the driver rear wheel at 26,000 miles. When I called the dealership in August to get it in for service they offered an appointment in October. This because they were “under construction”. Evidently service ends when the car is purchased. I scheduled an appointment at another dealership for September.

Poor
I would not recommend getting a vehicle at this place. We bought a used sienna with about 65k miles. We bought the premium package warranty for about 5k. A little under a year having the van it starts having problems. So we take the van in since it's under warranty. Only to find out they won't honor their warranty. They said the main wire harness is shorting out. The gear shifter was rubbing the wires. I would think electrical is covered under the premium warranty. Right. Man. Crazy right.

I got a screw in my tire and it kept losing pressure. They got me in the day I took my car over. Patched the hole for me and we are good to go! Very friendly and accommodating!

If at first you don't succeed...
I bought my first Hyundai in August but realized that it wasn't a good fit for me. They didn't let that discourage them. The attention to detail and the amount of time Marshall and Brysen spent finding my prefect fit vehicle was amazing. They were able to put me in a 2022 Hyundai Tucson SEL AWD!!! I highly recommend everyone to go there for a car. You will not be turned away for any reason. They worked around my not so great credit and everything.

Had an appointment at 9:00 am my car didn't get in until 3:00 pm
I had an appointment @ 9am to get tires put on. I told them I was dropping it off the night before because I had to work so when I dropped it off I put the keys in the drop box. I went there after work at 3:00 pm and my car was in the same place I had left it. He said that they just found my key if they couldn't find my keys why didn't they call me. they text me to confirm my appointment. my car didn't get done until 5:00 pm they didn't bother to call and tell me it was done I went back in because it looked like they were closing up

Took too long but seems to have fixed it.
Take a man with you to get the best explanation from them of what they did to your car, or ask to speak to a woman there. They are dismissive of you of you're a woman. However, they did manage to replace my starter after only 2 weeks.

No communication from service department
My car was towed to Mathews 12 days ago. The Sonata's for my year have a class action lawsuit. Less than 75,000 the engine stopped with no warning on 71. I need a new engine.

The only communication we have recieved is when my husband calls and someone answers the phone. They don't return voice mails. We would just like some communication. A phone call to update us. A loaner, like the settlement says, would be helpful.
