Bought a car from them they sold me a bad car
me please start by saying these people in Matthew Hyundai are liars. They would do anything to sell you some thing I bought a car from them $10,000 cash . Within that one year I had my car brought in the first two weeks. I bought it riding again two more weeks later nothing is wrong with it. They said only to find out people that there was a recall on this vehicle when I bought it, they never fixed it and I had my oil and everything down there. They turned around and lied and they branded might vehicle. He said he never had oil change. My engine blew. They gave me a car to use. They said they were gonna fix my car. Kept it for six months and looked at me to take it back with a broken engine and then the man Rob the manager rolled up for me at my bank, had that car and proceeded to get the car the rental put his hands on me to keep in the car. I called the police. This man is crazy. The police said he has no right to do that I am a 60-year-old woman pays her bills pay my car note they sold me a piece of garbage and the sad thing is I’m still paying on it and I have no car. These people have to be accountable so I got a hold of corporate and I’m praying that they will make it right. And for people, they have a mother, please watch over her. This man came up as a general manager, Rob, and threatened me screaming at me. I was scared for my life, and I told corporate that should never happen and then top of it I have been driving an unsafe car there was recalls they never did on it. Stay with people stay away.

Steven misdiagnosed my car
I had my SUV towed to Matthew’s Hyundai on October 30th after another repair shop told me that I needed a new engine and that my engine seemed to fit a Hyundai recall. Matthew’s Hyundai told me that they would do the diagnostic and software update on my SUV and get back to me. Steven then called me and told me that my engine was not the problem. He said the problem was a cracked manifold and that would cost me $2500. Relieved that I would not need an engine I told him to do the work. After completing the work Steven called to tell me that it was not the manifold that needed to be replaced it was the engine. He then told me that I would have to pay for the manifold to get my car. I explained to him that I am a single mother and I cannot afford the fact he misdiagnosed the repair needed on my car. Why should I be responsible for paying $2500 for the manifold and $10k for the engine replacement that he quoted me? To make matters worse I have been trying to contact Steven about my car for the last month and have been given nothing but excuses as to why he can’t come to the phone. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a repair shop. I feel like the only remedy at this point would be for Matthew’s Hyundai to fix the problem completely complimentarily.

They got it done
Did not purchase vehicle at this dealership however, came in for a faulty sensor. Staff confirmed owners concerns item would be 100% under warranty. Interesting note, the dealer where we purchased the vehicle flat out told us a shopping cart can make these sensors fail & since our car has a chip in the front bumper, sensor must have failed do to impact of some kind, A CHIP
I REMIND YOU.
The item was replaced and calibrated here at this dealer, Matthews at no charge, 100% warranty.

This is where we will be coming to get a quote when we are in the market for a replacement ride.

Thank you to the techs, Lindsey/Mark and office associate whom was very kind and pleasant!

Took my car in for an emissions code. They had it 2 weeks. Got it back, within the day check engine light came back. Took it back and they had it another 3 weeks. Got it back, check engine light came back on for the same code. I called a 3rd time to let them know and asked if it was possible to get a loaner, since in the 5 weeks, they apparently couldn't fix it. It has been the same code every single time, I have a code reader I always use. I had to pay for rentals twice, Dominick says they won't have one for 3 weeks. Asked to speak to the general manager Rob who assured me he would give me a call back that Monday (I called thursday) and said he should have a loaner coming back by Wednesday. Monday came and I never got a call back. I waited til the following Friday and called Rob, left a voice mail since he never answers his phone. I have yet to receive a phone call back from Rob and it has been 3 weeks. My boyfriend calls and all he gets is attitudes and the run around. The lady answering the phone is rude just as she was when we called today. He finally gets to talk to Rob who tells him Dominic reached out to me....he didn't. It has now been 3 weeks since this nonsense and a total of almost 9 weeks since I initially took my car to them and my car is still not fixed and Rob never called back. I am a single mom and have had to miss work due to them having my car so long and the issue still not being fixed. All I asked for was a loaner because I can not afford to continue losing work and I need to get around with 3 kids. I've been in customer service for over 12 years and understand how straining it is so I never talked down or was mean to anyone, this whole time I have been courteous and friendly. There is no reason for the attitude or the run around we continue to receive. And as a manager I will say Robs management's skills are lacking. How can you tell a customer you will call them back to try to resolve their issue yet here we are 3 weeks later and Rob has yet to call back. Then he tells my boyfriend the reason the code is yet to be fixed is because they work by "trial and error" and are eliminating the possibilities". I grew up with an amazing mechanic and know my way around a car... what? Your mechanics are hyundai certified and I have a Hyundai..... that doesn't make any sense to me...DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH ROB OR DOMINIC ANYMORE!!!

Easy Peasy
In the recent past, I've had a lot of not very nice or easy experiences with car buying or repair. So much so, I needed a newer vehicle. Will spare you the details. I found what I wanted at a good price at Matthews Hyundai online. It was one of the most stress free experiences as far as car buying goes I have ever had. And when the engine light came on, well, the vehicle was under warranty and was fixed in a timely manner. She's been running well ever since. No problems. No stress. Now if it were paid for....that's another story. Stress free! Now who doesn't need a stress free experience?
