Service
The service department is lacking in Service. Had a car tow to them, after 7 days 7 calls and leaving messages I had to drive from Greensboro to see them in person to find out what was wrong with the car. They said the engine was blown and Hyundai would not replace. I was told because I bought it used, Hyundai was not responsible to send updates. Because I did not have the update done Hyundai would not replace engine. But I did receive a letter from Hyundai 2weeks ago for a 2nd update. Go figure. I was told the reason I did not get a call, was the service manager had covid and all calls went to his voicemail. Looks like to me someone else could check his voicemail. On top of that they charged my daughter 170.00 to inspect the car. Who in the hell needs to know what else is wrong with a car with a blown engine. They stated the battery was at the end of life. If the tech doing the inspection had put his glasses on or got off his ass to look at the battery he would have seen the battery was less than a month old. He noted the tires were dangerous to drive on, but the car just passed inspection. They also listed 3 more recalled parts that needed to be replaced.This is not service this is a joke. I ask for a quote to replace the engine. Quote was 8600.00 for a rebuild or replace. So which is it. I found a another engine and total replacement cost with install is 3200.00. I will sell this car and will never buy another Hyundai. With all the problems Hyundai has with their cars they should not be able to sell them.
