Almost had to file a police report on the manager
The manger JAY gave me the poorest most worst unprofessional uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had at an auto shop. He was upset about me questioning my $1140 bill for just a brake job. Refused to let me speak to the mechanics or let me view the work done on my vehicle. Told me he’s keeping my car, and quote “ show me a law that says I have to let you see your car”. Accused me of being too poor to pay for repairs. And at one point locked me in the garage with the doors closed. After finally speaking to the owner and telling him I wanted all the work stripped and the the car towed he offered a $290 discount. This is just a small summary of JAY’S threatening actions.

This place is a fraud I took my car here had it 11 days I had to call each day for the status the guy joe made accuses up daily always saying we ordered the wrong part that was each of the 10 days they order a wrong part then he says finally we’re going to test drive the car then calling u shortly...nope never got a call that happened 4 times also I took a brake light switch to the shop cause I knew it wasn’t operating for them to test drive..long story short I picked the car up after getting brakes,rotors drums,pads,tie rod complete assembly,fly wheel and a starter
But after picking the vehicle up on my way home noticed the brakes are spongy the same as when I got the car towed to them also noticed the brake lights weren’t working so I called joe claims the mechanic was so “” busy they forgot but I’m driving unsafe not knowing I still didn’t have tail lights then I go there to ask about my brakes why they have so much air in the pedal ..his response ..oh leave the car we’ll bleed them next week, (shouldn’t that been a priority) shitty service , I wasn’t for that they already had it 11days I knew something wasn’t right so I went and got the car checked out to find out
1 ) brake shoes / hardware was never changed,
2 ) idler arm was not replaced
3) brake light switch was not replaced
4) U joint for rear drive shaft was not replaced
5) now my transmission has mutilple leaks from when they had to remove it to change fly wheel
So my Bill is $2100 I paid and come to find out no repairs was done other than the starter and flywheel..and the only reason those were I’m sure cause the car needs to startup
I highly recommend to not get any work here they are scam artists and frauds the so called mechanics don’t know what there doing this place is just out to rip you off I will most definitely be suing
Check out the pictures of the parts they claim was replaced...didn’t know parts can rust and wear in 2 days I will never take my car here and highly recommend you to do the same BEWARE!!

Scammers they will take your money and not do the work okay do I put it here
Took my 2003 Dodge ram and to get fixed they told me it was the computer and the throttle body took them two days to do it a week later same thing was happening took it back the Friday had it all day didn't do nothing to it told him I was coming to pick it up didn't say nothing just pulled my truck out very unprofessional I would not take nothing to this people they should have just took a gun and pointed it at me and held me up and robbed me

DO NOT GO HERE!
Worst experience I have had! I said multiple times I can not be driving my car around so are they sure they can fix the issue and they told me multiple times they can fix it to bring it in then they call me saying they can’t fix the issue! Then I got pretty irritated and he changes it to “then you can pay us more” WHAT!!! You just told me you couldn’t fix it. So many more issues with this place do not go here it is a scam they just want money.

car not properly analyzed
Originally brought my car in for an engine light on and rough idle six days ago was told it needed a coil and was charged $225. The engine light was off and the engine seemed smooth on the way home.The next day the roughness returned and the engine light came on for the second time.Waited until today when i was off work to take it back to have the car checked out again.Dropped it off in the morning and was called that afternoon and was told that i needed plugs and wires for an additional $225. Since i needed my car running better I agreed.picked up the car early evening and it was running better but still had engine light on. Grand total of $450 dollars for a pretty basic job for the average mechanic.Maybe if the job was properly assessed the total would have been less the first time. Think that was what a dealer would charge maybe less! Avoid like the plague if you want value for your hard earned dollar! hope this helps someone..

Honesty
Never have told me that they need to do something on the car that did not need to be done. Their pricing is always good. They do not take advantage of me because I am a woman. They are always courteous and professional. I believe they go above and beyond their call of duty.

Professional and Honest
I have been going to Redford Auto Repair for years and they have never taken advantage of me. They don't have recommend me to do things unless it will become a safety issue. I fully trust them with me and the safety of my car. They are always willing to throw a discount in if needed and fix things like a break light because I am a returning customer.

Not recommended at all!!
A friend of mine recommended these guys to me and my family members so i trusted the source because they have been using them for a while. Come to find out they scammed my sister out of 550 just for the engine to blow afterwards and didn't even offer a refund or nthn! Please stay away from this shop at all cost or u might end up killing somebody i would give them negative stars if i could they need to be closed down!!!!!

Bad mechanic
Liars! Told me my truck that had overheating problem there. They told me I had a head gasket problem and need a new motor. 2850 dollars total. Where I told them I didn't have that much they text me 3 different web sites for financing options. Took it for a second opinion at Rattlesnake auto. Turns out I guess had air in my cooling system, fixed my problem for 20 bucks. Shame on you Redford auto, thank you Rattlesnake auto
Patty said the business was nice and she is happy with the service they do. When she goes to them there is a long 2 to 3 hours wait for service and she does not know the reason.
