Thank you Lisa,
We truly appreciate your continious support in our buisness.
First off Mr. Maa thank you for your review. We here at Scott’s go above and beyond for our loyal customers. Now let me address the one star and context of your review.
On Saturday February 22nd to you called in for a tow on your F-150 that had broken down in Greenville and you said your clutch had gone out and it was slipping so you parked immediately in a parking lot. I started a work order and noticed after running your VIN that your truck was an automatic which does not have a clutch but being the bigger man I didn’t call out your mistake or lack of knowledge of the mechanics of your truck. While on the phone you told me you are friends with Derek, our lead tech. You were texting him at 6:30 am in the morning and he doesn’t go to work until 8 am. I asked him if he knew you and he said he met you once and were his wife’s sister’s best friend’s husband...
I set the tow up and we drove all the way from Forney to Greenville and back to pick up your truck for the low cost of $160.00.
Once the truck arrived, your buddy that you met once, Derek test drove the truck and ran his scanner on it. He determined the transmission needed to be rebuilt do to slipping once it got hot. You then texted Derek that you got a letter from Ford for a factory recall on your truck for speed sensors. These have no bearing on your clutch-less automatic transmission. I took Derek’s write up and got you pricing on rebuild, labor, and programming as he requested. Now the one and only thing you questioned me on was the labor. Yes I had entered your truck as 4x4 which called for 11 hours of labor but your truck is the lesser model with RWD and only required 9 hours. I am the Service Advisor, I go off the info provided by customer, the tech’s write up, and the VIN. None of the above informed me it was the lesser model with RWD. Being the intelligent man I am, I made the estimate for 4x4 because it is a lot easier to lower the bill than to raise it after being quoted. I fixed the labor and continued to go over estimate with you. You then questioned the $300 for programming, this was added by the buddy you met once so that you wouldn’t have to take it to the dealership to be done and we could get it done quickly in order to better serve you. Since you said you could get it done for free by the dealer, I removed it at your request. So now we had a lower price on labor and the programming removed.
Thank you Bryant , we appreciate your buisness . We hope to see you back for any maintenance you may need in the future.
