I highly recommended Spencer Auto Repair A+++ *5 Stars*. They are the friendliest, most professional & thorough auto repair shop I have ever been to. Their comprehensive customer reports completely break down all of your auto repair needs complete with pictures. This takes all of the guesswork & uncertainty out of any repair issues or concerns you may have. They even paid for an Uber for me to go home & relax while my repairs were being done. Afterwards, they picked me up in my car. Will, Matt, Alonzo & Logan are all top notch businessmen & amazing people. Thank you Spencer Auto Repair!

Dishonest and poor workmanship
Paid to havexwork performed. Upon inspection found that parts that were paid for , parts and labor, were NOT done. Over $600 worth! Mechanic had multiple excuses, forgot etc. Office manager was nearly useless in the resolution, knows NOTHING about the automotive industry.

No, I do not recommend Spencer's Auto Repair
We recently moved here from out of state. We've been looking for a good mechanic. We took our car to Spencer Auto Repair hoping to find that mechanic for both our vehicles. I was not impressed with the service that I received from the Florence location.
When the air filter was replace the new one was installed on top of the dirt and rocks that had collected in the air box. They were quick to apologize when I pointed it out and offered to do it right. Not comfortable trusting my car with them ever again. No, I do not recommend them.

Brake service
Took my truck in to have rear brakes replaced. then when I took it home noticed a wobble on front brakes that had just been replaced 15000 miles ago by a dealer back in IA, was told by the dealership only 12000 mile warranty. so had Spencers replace them and now have 36000 mile warranty. they also found the rear brakes they had installed had a shimmy after replacing the front brakes so they warrantied them and replaced the drums. stops very smoothly. A huge shout out to Erin and Dean for doing what it takes to get the job done right.

Courteous & Friendly Staff
Brought a flat tire in for repair off my cargo trailer. Staff was very courteous and super friendly. Told me upfront what it would cost and what time it would done. Was done exactly when they said it would. Good customer service, thanks Erin & Loegan.

Thieves
I went in to get a small leak fixed in my oil gasket. as soon as I came back I realized two items worth about $150 between them we're missing. This happened at the Mesa location on Baseline Road. Also, they wanted to charge me $500 to do my brakes. I just had them done for $185. All I needed was pads on my brakes so I guess they sell super brakes or something. Also, beware of this trick. Often times they use refurbished rather than new parts. oh don't worry they're not going to tell you that use refurbished parts. You'll only Discover it after your starter or alternator fail and you take a close look at the part and it says right on it refurbished. and of course when you point this out to them they will never ever give you a discount or exchange the part or do anything to make it right. By the way these refurbished parts you'll be charged more than brand new parts. Their business practices should be illegal and are not based on wanting to have the customer come back again and again. They figure if they can sting you one good time that's all they care about. Their philosophy is there's always some poor sucker out there that needs to get their car repaired and now sting them to just like they do everyone. I hope this help someone from not getting things stolen out of their vehicle.

Great service
New to area, tried Spencer auto repair, because of good reviews. Am happy to report the reviews were right on. Erin was very helpful and informative, work was performed by Gil in a timely manner. Was very pleased, unfortunately I had to return to Spencer the next week, because of another problem, again repair was taken care fast and efficiently, would definitely recommend Spencer’s.

Uses Refurbished Parts, Does Not Tell the Customer, Charges Full Price
We went to Spencer Auto Repair For Years and thought they were decent, but very convenient given our remote location. They repaired our Alternator in April of 2017 and it just failed in May 2018. We took a look at the alternator and discovered it was a refurbished part. They never told us it was a refurbished part, and had charged us more than what most shops would have for a brand new part. They refused to replace the refurbished part as the warranty for it had expired about 6,000 miles previous. When we pointed out we paid for a new part they still refused to do anything to make it better. We no longer trust Spencer Auto Repair and will never return.
