Sports Durst Hyundai Service Department -Durham NC -THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Check out reviews on Yelp, Angie's list and any other site. They are paying folks for 4 star reviews which is unfair to hardworking consumers.

This is the worst "so called" service outlet on the planet. It took 4 weeks to make an appointment. Brandon Oliver (The Ultimate Unprofessional, Unconcerned person was assigned to be our service NON-advisor) My teen son's vehicle was checked in at 2pm. Brandon Oliver advised it would be ready by close of business. A state inspection, underbody corrosion recall, flush sanitizing the AC vents ($75) and remounting a camera that TC's carwash dismantled while detailing the car. This was the ask of a 2pm one month scheduled out planned appointment .

At 5:45pm I called in and asked to speak with him and received voicemail. I called right back to ask what time did the service dept. close and was told by Erica that closed at 6pm. I frantically explained my dilemma in not being told what time the service department closed or the status of my vehicle. Erica, walked over to the service department to let them know my concern of not receiving any updates. Brandon Oliver then makes himself available and states the car was not ready, he would try to make sure it was ready in the morning!!! I asked what was done on the vehicle......Brandon Oliver said, nothing was done on the vehicle!! I asked for a service manager, Brandon Oliver said the Service Manager went home.

I am beyond irritated that no one in service answers the phone. Sports Durst Service and Brandon Oliver are running a "fake appointment, stall and no communication scheme!" In other words, get your car in, keep it passed time allotment then bill consumer for poor communication and poor service. I advised Brandon Oliver that I would be coming to get my vehicle after he was short, callous, non-concerned about having a recovery plan to take care of business. Sports Durst Service and Brandon Oliver are running a "Roach Motel" model....you can check in but you won't check out! Save yourself some time and drive over to Johnson Hyundai Cary/Apex, Johnson Hyundai Raleigh or Southern States Hyundai/Raleigh for professionals who answer phones and make appointments. Trust me, I made an appointment with Johnson Hyundai Raleigh- One call, one scheduler, done! Just like my Johnson Lexus experience...which is where I bought my son's preowned Hyundai.

The Durham, NC community deserves better and certainly, the taxes are cheaper in Wake county, so take a drive, grab a bite and get treated like you are about to spend a few hundred dollars on a service visit. Sports Durst and Brandon Oliver clearly do not need the business from service dollars. Keep leadership on duty until the place closes, Brandon Oliver said no manager was on duty for me to escalate my concern. What a Messy, Self-Absorbed model! Never again!!!

These are lists and thieves
Sports Durst are the worst service group to go to. They lied to me for 7 days without a phone call or communication about my vehicle and then tried to swindle me out of $600 + for a simple battery issue. They don’t call, text or email you until they need money. They put my car with the junk cars in the back and said it was in the bay. I bought 2 jeeps from them and I trusted them until they lied about a strike that ended 4 months before they told me. From the manager to the service person are crooks. They will lie and try to take your money for very small issues. When I went in and started recording, they had nothing to say especially the guy who sit at the first fest when you walk into the service dept. He had all the mouth. Now I’m dealing with another Jeep service dealer. Sports Durst has loss my trust.

Hate my 2024 Ioniq 5 and dealership Sport Durst Hyundai Durham, NC
I was sold a new Ioniq 5 on Saturday with 40% battery charge. I was sent to 4 places to get a charge because the dealership is too cheap to have their charger fixed!!! Monday I went to Raleigh to get is charged and the battery went dead and I was stranded on a major road for 11 hrs waiting on a tow truck that cost me $275.00

Oil Consumption Issues
My vehicle has used over 6 quarts of oil in 3 months. Several mechanics told me about this being an issue with my model and to contact corporate headquarters. I did that, received a claim number and contacted Sport Durst. Or tried to since they didn't answer the customer service phones. So I went there and couldn't get an appointment for 3 more weeks. By then it needed 4 quarts of oil. I had to come back for round 2 of testing. Went back and 2 more quarts were used. They said they would contact corporate and get back to me. 3 weeks later and no news. I finally talk to someone today who says my vehicle was denied for the final round of testing. To make this short, I would NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone! Their lack of communication has been an issue since the beginning. Ironically, 2 times in a row they claimed my tires had nail holes and I needed new tires. Never saw any holes, claimed they had already removed the nails, and my tire signals inside never showed an issue. VERY suspicious so I quit getting it serviced there. Plus, appointments were always 3-5 weeks out. Now, I will be contacting corporate again because I don't bet anything Sport Durst says. I liked my vehicle but would NEVER recommend this dealership.

i bought a new ram 1500 in may of 2022 came with 1 free oil change went to truck center to get it they are on lunch dreak 1hour lunch went back 2 weeks later 2 hour wait l have drove 80 miles for oil change still have got one from them buy the way they dont take appointmets i will take my truck to burlington hillsbrough raliegh not sport durst

Did routine maintenance.
My Kona EV was due for 25K maintenance check. Required safety point checks, and tire rotation. They also checked status of my cabin filter but did not need changing yet. They looked over everything, did the required work and got me in and out without delay.

2022 Hyundai Kona cel on and low coolant
The employees weren't knowledgeable about their cars at all, but were very friendly and attentive. The service folks were slow to return calls. The mechanic left coolant on my hood and front fascia. He left off the two battery terminal covers. The check engine light is off (for now) but the coolant is low again.

Incomplete Service
Spent 3 hours forbwhat was ultimately just an ECU flash and an oil change. Went in for a front end alignment as well and the machines for both their sites were broken. I suppose I'm thankful for that. It would have likely been a 5 hour visit otherwise.

She came to my car to greet me with her winning smile, then efficiently took needed info about my car. When I left she checked with me to make sure everything was good. It’s wonderful to interact with workers like Giselle who take pride in doing a good job.
