Buyers Beware: Hail damages and sales tactics!
We were interested in a pre-owned car advertised online and contacted the dealership. I was told that the car was available as advertised and the sales professional assured us that his schedule was wide open in the morning and urged us to “come over and test drive”. We live in the DFW area (quite a distance away from Sherman) and I had to take time off work to visit the dealership and test drive the vehicle. After my wife and I got there and started inspecting the vehicle, only then the sales professional told us the shocking news that this car had hail damages to the body and cracks in the windshield earlier this week. We would have appreciated a lot more if he disclosed this to us before we made the decision to take the long trip north!

After the test drive, we were surprised again that we could not even sit by his sales desk. That was when we realized that he had other customers to deal with at the same time (for a different vehicle). As we sat down and discussed price options, we were offered a $500 discount if we would buy the damaged car as is (WITHOUT hail damages repaired). But when we negotiated the price WITH hail damages repaired by the dealership, all of sudden we were told that there was almost no room for negotiation as it would cost them a lot of money to fix the hail damage (e.g., $1000 total with window replacement alone costs $500!). What did we miss here?

The worst part is that we were left hanging for long periods time and time again. What a waste of our time and lack of respect! Finally, we did not have a choice but had to stand up and leave after being treated like that repeatedly.

For a dealership claiming “We provide exceptional customer service”, I am not sure our experience matches that at all. I'd simply like to see a drastic improvement on being "fair and honest".

Just Purchased a 2025 Venue from this dealership
Very seamless process, they bent over backward to insure all levels of my application and contract were 10 plus. The staff and the finance folks were very friendly and got involved at various levels along the way to make my 1st purchase of a new car in 30 years very special. The new upgrades to the dealership are just amazing, state of the art all the way. and so appealing, and customer concentric. I have not of course had any reason to have a service event yet it has only been a few days but I got the tour of the service area and it is like the inside of a spaceship. Thanks to Sal , Ryan and the rest of the Texoma Hyundai team ..... Talk about raising the bar for Sherman.

I would like to acknowledge Jason Brewer the service department manager and Texoma Hyundai dealership in Sherman Tx. for your outstanding dedication to customer service.. Some businesses do a service and the customer leaves. Others go above the call of duty to make the customers truly happy. Your shop did EXACTLY that Jason Brewer! I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how pleased I am with the repair work done on my 2018 Hyundai Elantra! I would not hesitate to recommend Texoma Hyundai--Sherman Tx. to others!!!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! We were asked to leave within 5 minutes of sitting down with the sales rep. They refused to show us a contract on a product they were forcing us to take (that only offered six months of coverage) for $2,000! We were not rude with them just wished to see a contract for this product with a breakdown of the cost. Ended up talking with 4 different people all were rude and seemed angry and threatened to give our deposit back, which they didn’t until the very end. I will never be going back to this dealership. Very sneaky underhanded people. Refused outside financing and when we offered bank to bank transfer and even financing with them they refused and made us leave.
