Gus was recommended to us by a family member. We took both of our vehicles to him a few times. At first it seemed like coincidence that he had our car and then another problem arose not long after. Our Dodge Ram was misfiring and he told us we needed a new computer put in. A week after we got it back the same noise came back. Multiple mechanics have told us based on the diagnostics done, a new computer shouldn’t have been put in, and the noise it’s currently making that we initially took it in for is a lifters tick. The last straw for me and reason we will be taking legal action has to do with our van. He had our van a few times. He did motor mounts last year. He then had our van after the started and ignition switch went out at the same time (so he said… now learning that’s probably not what happened) he had our van for 8 WEEKS. We finally had to tell him we will be picking up the car- which he then told us he did the 02 sensors without discussing it with us first and charged us for it. I was furious. I picked up the van and within 15 minutes a knocking noise began. I also noticed he had driven well over 100 miles AND the passengers speaker was blown. Seems weird. Called him very upset. He came to pick up the van, never answered my question on what was wrong. Told my husband it was motor mounts and didn’t charge us for the inconvenience. (How did he have our car for 8 weeks, for diagnostics and never heard this motor mount problem??? Why did it not have one before and then all of a sudden did again?) I took the van to get checked out by other mechanics recommended by multiple people- who told us his work was terrible. Our 02 sensors were just laying on the engine, instead of clips zip ties were used, the battery wasn’t connected properly, and there was a grounding issue that could have been the cause of a different issue. Now, here we are months, not even a year later, with motor mounts that are not keeping our engine from bouncing all over. We noticed a humming noise and some shaking. Then all of a sudden coolant leak everywhere. A cracked radiator, which could have been caused by the motor bouncing around. We have tried to contact Gus… who has either blocked us or changed his number. The last text I received from him was asking for a number to “compensate us to get us off his back”. DO NOT USE HIM… and be weary of someone who’s comments are all formatted it as if he wrote them himself. ??♀️ Attorney General was contacted and further legal action will be taken.
