Looks nice but not a smooth ride. Design flaw in the 2.4 Ecotec could cost you big
Our 2012 Buick Verano has not been what I hoped for and if I could go back would of Camry for my wife. The biggest issue is that GM tried to sweep under the rug the design flaw in the pistons of the 2.4 L Ecotec by not issuing a recall. We discovered this when we took it in for a routine oil change about a year after we bought it and had to have the pistons and rings rebuilt at only 30k. I've talked to other Verano owners who had no clue but made sense to them because of how crappy sounding their engine ran. GM has acknowledged that this particular motor burns oil, so much so that even if you change your oil when recommended the amount of oil that has burned off could damage your engine. Not a smooth ride either, which is not at all Buick like. I also feel like there are awkward blind spots when driving. Not a bad looking car but they tried to give it a luxury type feel but is far from luxury.

Buick Verano
Car drives great, engine in the 2012 is horrible just had to replace mine cause of oil leaking internally. Don't like the cheap plastic grill parts on the hood, one of mine broke off.
Good millage on my 100 mile a day commute.

2012 Buick Verano
This engine is the worst just had to have mine replaced at 116000 because of oil leaking past the rings warranty doesn't even cover this issue. I will research a car more when I am ready to buy another. I bought this one in 2015 with less than 7000 miles. Very disappointed in the mechanical portion of this car.

My Verano.
I really like the Verano, I has lots of pep, rides nice and gets great gas mileage. On a recent trip to Florida, we got just under 34 miles per gallon. There is also plenty of trunk space. It has great visibility.

2012 Buick Verano
Bought my 2012 Verano in 2014 with only 24,000 miles. It now has well over 100,000 miles and still runs good(knock on wood). I'm 6'5, 235 lbs and fit in the car. I needed something of this size so I can park in Philadelphia easier when I'm down there. The Verano is also decent on gas. So far it's a very dependable car and with proper maintenance I hope to keep it until it hits 200,000 miles. It is not a bad looking car either with the 18" rims and nice interior.

I love my Verano.
I love this Verano. Makes me sad I am getting rid of this car. Upgrading to the Regal. Drives nice and smooth. Great car
