Mystery Electrical Problem

I am experiencing a problem with my Malibu Maxx that has me very frustrated. Some time ago I noticed that the hatch or lift gate would unlock when I opened the passenger side door. Also the unlock button on the gate itself doesn't work any more. The gate button on the driver's door and the remote button still will unlock the gate, but the gate now sometimes comes unlocked if I open either rear door, turn off the ignition or even bump the side of the console with my leg. What's going on? Unfortunately, when I took the car to the dealer to have them investigate it, THE PROBLEM WOULDN'T HAPPEN!!

Love my Malibu

It's getting on in years but still fun to drive, gets good mileage and has met my needs all these years. With Chuck's on Main help, I plan to keep it a while longer.

Love the Malibu, but I feel they rushed making it

A few recalls on my car in the steering, cruise control and something else? The seat broke and instead of fixing the part that broke, you had to get the whole seat replaced because they don't make just that one part. I have microfiber/suede on the middle part of the tan seat... whenever ANY water or liquid gets on it it stains... biggest downfall to the car actually.

Except for front turn signal problems that the CO. can not seem to find a fix for , good car few problems.

Excellent vehicle-2005 Chevrolet Malibu

My vehicle has been the BEST since the day I drove it off the dealership's lot. Regular maintenance has kept it in top running condition. No major problems to date. Chevrolet has always been by auto of choice. Two times I strayed (briefly when I purchased two others), but I went back to the most dependable vehicle I could ever own. Chevy is our families car "forever"!

Malibu has served me well

She keeps going and going and go . . . .

My 2005 Chevy Malibu Maxx has been cross country numerous times and still drives well. Even with so much work that needs to be done on her, my Barbie is very reliable and has never failed me.

Its a great car.

We've had it almost eleven years and have had very little trouble with it. It gets about 30 mpg and we have about 65000. miles.
