Room to carry most of your kids baseball team or pick up 4X8 sheets of plywood from a local lumber store. Our "Go To" vehicle for towing our 28ft travel trailer weighing in at 5,100#'s unloaded. Has 181k miles on the odometer and not worried to take it on any trip. The 5.3 motor has power and still delivers respectable gas mileage. Only issues with the vehicle is GM's refusal to repair a known issue with the dash cover cracking. Following a site on Facebook, I drilled holes in the two cracks to prevent them from spreading, just like you prep aluminum before welding. Maybe some day GM will recognize that this is a common problem with this year of suburban. Early 5.3 liter engines have the cylinder delete operation to save on gas mileage, that works off of oil pressure. It's annoying and can be worked around by putting your vehicle in manual and select 6th gear. Also watch you oil level, especially during heavy use. 9
