Escape (2012 model) is a great car for my needs.

This is my second Ford Escape and I enjoy driving it. It is a very dependable car in all kinds of weather, even deep snow. We bought this car the year before Ford changed to the touch screen technology. I find this to be a plus because it is easier to adjust all the settings while keeping my eyes on the road. I have had some rust spots removed from one rear fender, so it still looks like new. Read seat flatten when I have to haul things

Great car.

It's a nice car. It somehow manages to be smaller in overall size, roomy inside, and powerful under the hood, all at the same time. Drives smoothly, turbs like butter. Everything you could ask for.

Great all around vehicle.

It has been a vehicle I can wear work clothes in and accomplish pickup like duties and turn around and wear a suit and go out for a night on the town in style. Very versatile and reliable vehicle that in a low key fashion does the work of a pickup while maintaining the class and comfort of a stylish SUV. I've driven Ford pickups all my life but now in my seventies on a fixed income makes it difficult to buy pickups and I've found my Escape makes a great alternative. Due to back injuries I can't fit in vehicles with a low roof line so for me it's either pickups or my Escape. Love the new lightening but way out of my price range.

This is my 3rd escape and I have enjoyed each one. Fun to drive and great on gas. It's easy to get in and out of. I love the way it handles. It has loads of room for a month worth of groceries or trips to Lowes

i will forever be a FORD woman! I have owned a few other cars and always go back to fords. I never have any luck with anything other. I have owned fords the last 25 years . Looking at the newest fords right now.

Rust Bucket

Vehicle has given us reliable service but was Rusting out around rear fenders before it was five years old. Talked to dealer and he just Laughed & said time to buy. NOT! But when e do buy it won't be Ford!! Ha!@

Love my Escape

Love my Escape, older style and all. Not crazy about the new designs. Hopefully this style will come back around. The new A/C vents and way of working is not as great as what I have. If I need a new car for some reason, I will try to find another 2012 before considering a newer model.

It's Worth What It's Worth

Not the most comfortable seats. Back seat folds down to haul large items but not flat. Disappointed cargo area does not have cover must purchase separately. Good in snow and rain. CD player skips and radio does not play well if on am station. A lot of static.

Powerful vehicle that I would recommend to anyone seeking to buy a car. This vehicle is strong and balances on the road properly. Likewise the interior is wonderful. I love this car and finds hard to trade it for anything other vehicle.

Everything We Had Hooed Fot, . . .but:

We had purchased this car new in October 2012. The only negative comment I have is; RUST!! Rear wheel wells in particular. Not feeling alone in this problem, as 95% of these cars seem to have the same problem. It starts early, & it looks terrible. Other than this, it has been a great car. Dependable, economical to operate and, up to 2012, a very nice looking & clean styling job. We have traveled cross country in the car, & have found it to be a very comfortable car to travel long distances in. I have no immediate plans to sell this car, but would consider another Escape when & if I do. The new Escape is a much different, but appealing design & if they’ve done anything to resolve the rust issue, I would probably be a repeat customer.

Mechanically OK.. It's a Rust Bucket

Vehicle has been Mechanically OK but was Rusting out in less Than 5 yrs. We bought it New. I keep my vehicles for awhile & like them looking good. Even with care it is a Rust Bucket. When I went to the dealer he just Laughed & said time to buy. WRONG ANSWER! It's a sure bet the next time I DO Buy it won't be FORD! HA this customer gets the last Laugh. Look at the Ford's driving by you the next time, you'll see they are rusting.

Purchased this vehicle used as certified. The V-6 engine averages 24 MPG combined city/HWY/ It pulls my boat effortlessly. The limited addition has all the bells and whistles you could ask for. Comfortable ride and roomy cargo area. Sorry the new style doesn't still offer the same engine.

Love my truck except for the rusted fender above my tires! Apparently this is a known problem with this vehicle and the company won’t do anything to fix it. If Ford would offer financial assistance to fix the problem them I might recommend it to more people.

Perfect Little Car

Have always been a Ford driver but usually pickups and Mustangs. Due to physical issues I decided to try the escape and have been highly satisfied. Due to back issues it's hard for me to get in most cars without hitting my head and were also very uncomfortable on long drives. My Escape's roof line leaves me plenty of room so as to not hit my head and long drives I am never uncomfortable. Plenty of cargo space, easy to load and plenty of passenger space. No problem with acceleration or cruising speeds and great gas mileage. Just turned over 100,000 miles and needed some minor repairs that weren't very costly. Will be sad when the car meets the end of the road as being on a fixed income may prohibit me from replacing it with another Escape?

Runs well but showing wear

I’m disappointed that my Escape began rusting around the wheel wells after just a few years. The entire exhaust system has already needed replacement, along with all of the axle seals. The rear windshield hinges broke, as did the AC blower. These all seem prematurely worn out in a seven year old vehicle. This speaks to a lack of quality in Ford parts. They don’t make them like they used too, I guess. No more Fords for me.

I love my little Katscape! I just wish they wouldn't have changed the body style so much. I cannot see out of the back as easy. It's not about using the back up camera, it's more about changing lanes.

Everything I need in a vehicle

This is my second escape the first one I had for 10 years loved it. Upgraded to the 2012 Love this one just as much if not more. It’s a limited so it has all the bells and whistle’s. Seats are comfortable and heated It is cold in Minnesota during the winter.

My favorite SUV

I love my Escape. I wish Ford was still making this style. More cargo space than current model. The only problem I have is the front wheel drive does not get up slight inclined driveway if it’s snowy or icy.
