I love my Escape!
I have a 2017 Ford Escape. I'm very happy with my car! The best things about it are the roominess, both in the seating area and the back of the car, which everyone but me calls a trunk. I like the way I feel like I'm surrounded by extra room in the driver's seat, unlike in a sedan or in my sister's minivan, where I am always hitting my elbow on the driver's side door. The only real drawbacks are the "climate control" fan and the back door. The fan is so loud when you're using max AC or heat that you can't talk on the phone and have the heat or a/c on at the same time. I have to turn the AC fan very, very low in order to make a phone call over the car's speakers either for a phone call or to use SIRI on the phone, to the point that I sometimes just won't use that feature when it's very hot outside. As far as the door at the back of the car, it's hard to close it. There is no power assistance in closing, you have to really push hard, and sometimes you'll be sure it's latched only to get a message on the dashboard that the door isn't closed all the way. But other than the fan noise and the difficulty closing the back door, I really love this car. I rented a Nissan crossover and the mileage was better but the inside design was worse, from that feeling of space in the Escape to the poorer dashboard layout in the Nissan. I like my Ford better.
