Have only driven Honda's for 22 years
I've had 2 Honda Accords, a 1993 and a 1996. Both I bought used with 50,000 and 70,000 miles respectively. The '93 I drove to 180,000 miles. The car was still fine but had a lot of paint deterioration due to the climate I lived in, Southern CA by the ocean with high UVA index and salt water. The only problem I had with it was radiator problems, understandably, from and accident I was in. Other than that, comfortable and reliable.
The '96 Accord is alike in being uber low-maintenance, comfortable and reliable and attractive. It has 170,000 miles on it and I elected to re-paint certain panels that had similar environmental deterioration rather than replace it. I will keep this car as long as possible, up to and above 200,000 miles with regular maintenance and the advice of my mechanic!
I test drove newer Accords 2011 and newer and found the hand positioning on steering wheels to be uncomfortable. I have neck problems and holding my arms in certain positions for medium-long periods of time really flares up my neck pain. Later Accords have steering wheel that you hold at the top of the wheel and this puts a strain on my neck. Mine you can rest hands comfortable at top or sides of wheel
