Reliable, comfortable vehicle
Vehicle rides and handles well, is relatively quiet. There can be a lot of bells and whistles on this car, and I went for the second best (as the salesperson couldn't explain the features of the best), but the two that I appreciate the most are: (1) the cameras, backup and right side...a left side one would be great, too, without it is kind of like having to do math by hand for that vs. with a calculator on the other; (2) the glare-resistant rear-view mirror, which the salesperson didn't play up, but who I told was an important feature to me. The vehicle's seating is comfortable and roomy enough front and back for long distances, though my recent development of a lower-back problem, unrelated to the vehicle, required me to purchase a half-cylindrical cushion for lower back support. Instrumentation is good, though the screen in the center of the vehicle can get some glare, but more importantly makes it challenging to find a solution for either a GPS or a phone mounting solution. It's too bad that vehicle manufacturers don't make maps the standard feature, though Pandora is a good second choice given that unlimited data is more readily available these days and one has single button skip from the console (vs. the phone). Ample USB and even a cigarette lighter plug. The trunk has good space and the back seat can even be folded down to allow long items to be carried in this vehicle. However, the side doors don't open at 90 degrees, which limit back seat storage to chairs. Acceleration is good for a 4 cylinder vehicle, fuel economy - especially using their "economy" selection - is outstanding, on par with cramped 4 cylinder cars from decades ago. A nice feature that tells you if a tire(s) is low on tire pressure is useful, but perplexing, as one always wonders where "the leak" is coming from. The instrumentation is good, like the driving range (in miles) indication and oil life indicators. It can be a challenge to find the right button, though large in size, to push in the middle of the vehicle, which differentiation of some kind would help.
