Hyundai Elan, a perfect fit

My 2012 Hyundai Elan rocks. Normally, I would have gone for a new car by now, 5 years, but I am so comfortable with Hyundai Elan, I'm lingering a bit longer than normal. It is a perfect fit. The right size, space, MPG, and there have been so few tweeks, and, the few I have had were easily remedied. Over the past 50 years I have been brand loyal, until the brand failed, 1st Chevy, then Volkswagon, but I seem to have found a home with Hyundai Elan and will remain here.

My Elantra

The Hyundai Elantra is a great vehicle. I have a 2012 Limited Edition and am still enjoying it thoroughly. The Elantra runs great/ smooth ride /never any trouble beside general maintenance/slick design lines always keep it current. Feel safe driving my grandkids in this car. The interior and the leather seats have maintained well even with child car seats installed in back most of the year. Very happy with purchase of my Elantra. It is red, of course, but am now looking into custom paint job for my baby. I intend to keep it for a very long time.

2012 Elantra

I love the fuel economy, and it is very comfortable. However, the blind spots on this model are huge. I understand that they have tried to remedy the problem on the 2017 model. The interior is no-frills. If you are looking for a reliable little commuter car, this is great.

Good car, but not quite up to Honda or Toyota.

Almost 206,000 miles and 5.5 years before we retired it from duty as a civil process server's work car ( still being driven to work by a friend). This car has taken a beating through all kinds of driving; city, TRAFFIC JAMS, highway, dirt/gravel roads, COW TRACKS (wore out the original shocks within 2.5 years.).

2012 Elantra Ltd

Purchased car new in 2012! Have had zero mechanicals, only money spent on the car (except for $50.00 services @ 7500 mile intervals) is tires. THe car is still solid, not rattles or shakes. Runs great, looks great! I would buy new, but, I think the newer Hyundais, while loaded with technology, look plain and similar to too many (US) cars! Bring back the edgy stying, Hyundai! Also, bring back the minivan!

Fine Car

Whatever problems with vehicle, service has taken care of. Occasionally, it seems sluggish. Pay attention and bring to service attention. It's a good car but sad on gas. Check into some type of compensation for used gas. The Elantra is gorgeous but bold easy to dent.
