Good but with some build quality issues

Good car, but expected better build quality. Issues like: 1. Rear rattling noise when driving 2. sometime blank screen when backing up the car 3. Weird motor noise when slowing the vehicle 4. Dead car even with 30% battery remaining. Had to call AAA to jump start. This was within 30 days of purchase. bad experience. 5. Electrify America charger issues. Reported multiple times. Too much time is waster calling them and reporting issues. Many chargers dont work or charge too slowly.

The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Tesla-killer is Awesome!

Amazing Car! Everything is great: design, features, comfort, value. The Design is the first thing that caught my attention. I love the retro-futuristic look of the shape, and the pixel-like tail lights and headlights. But it was the features that sold me on the car. You get more value/features, for less money, than a Tesla Model Y. I use android auto in my car every day, so that was a major drawback of a Tesla. The Heads Up Display (HUD) is awesome! I don't know how I lived without in my previous cars! And have the Vehicle-To-Load (VHL) outlet inside the car on the Limited trim is awesome, especially on road trips. My wife plugged in her laptop and had no issues on an 800-mile road trip. Anyone considering an Ioniq 5 vs a Tesla Model Y....its a no brainer! Ditch the Tesla!

Need walk away locking and rare window wiper

Walk away locking and rare wiper. The car shows the range which seems to be not consistent. Though the range shows let’s say 200 , after 25 mile drive , it still shows 185 instead of 175. Please fix these problems .

Best car ever owned

This car makes me happy whenever I get in it and have to drive, and I don’t want to leave it when I reach my destination. The driver assist features make driving in stop and go traffic on highways a stress free event making me happier when I arrive despite the traffic.

Fantastic car

What a great car this is. Charges fast and very fun to drive. Quiet and fast when you need it. No hesitation when driving or at a stop light. Very comfortable and a smooth drive. Took mine on a long road trip and no issues charging and the miles was pretty accurate. Overall a great car.

Great car, if the liquid coolant wasn’t an issue

Great car and features. Disappointed coolant mechanism has an issue and supply chain affects vehicle repair timeline. Design is progressively pleasing, vehicle is very quiet while operating as well as during operation interior.

Excellent car. Great experience. DC charging is not as easy as it should be.

Replaced a 2020 Tesla Model Y with this IONIQ 5. The comfort and ride are MUCH better. The DC charging situation, however, is just not up to the Tesla standards. No over-the-air software updates.

Don't pay a huge markup for the base trim

It is a very good car. The MSRP accurately represents it value. But do not pay a huge markup for the base trim. I paid a 10k markup for the SE model (AWD) and it is not worth it. No sunroof, no lane change camera, no automatic trunk door, no air vents in the rear, cheap materials in the interior. The performance, engine, ride etc are great. But overall it is great deal only if you pay MSRP for the base trim.

An Amazing Car

The car is impressive, well thought out and well designed. It is comfortable to drive and has plenty of leg room in both front and back. There are a lot of small touches - the back seat reclines, the choice of braking and drive options, etc. which make the car a pleasure to drive or be a passenger in.

Ioniq 5, best EV at its price

I love my Ioniq 5. I have a few minor quibbles, but they do not diminish my satisfaction. It's a relentless head turner, and I constantly get comments about it. If you can find one, I recommend it. If you can't find one, I recommend getting on a waiting list. It's worth the wait.

Good car great EV, excellent choice to transition off ICE

The Ioniq 5 is big, deceivingly quick and an excellent choice to transition away from ICE. The doors are big making it easy for ingress and egress (they use them as Taxis overseas). Lots of room on the inside and the hatchback makes it work for loading everyday stuff to run a household from groceries to building material.

Almost Perfect!

I love every aspect of this car except for the lack of a rear window wiper. Don't know what the design team was thinking! It's very difficult to see out the back when it rains, especially on the highway. Hopefully Hyundai will provide a retrofit for this.

Extremely fun to drive!

I normally try to keep the mileage on my cars low. With my IONIQ 5, that’s not the case. I’m always looking for an excuse to take my car out for a drive! The responsiveness, handling, and quietnesses of my car is great! It’s been a conversation starter almost everywhere I’ve gone. People have lots of questions about my car. It’s very well deserving of the title, “World Car of the Year.”

Awesome

I was super nervous about going electric. It is a learning curve esp when traveling but I’m loving it. It’s fun to drive. It’s luxurious. The pick up is amazing. It’s a very well designed car . And remember charging will just become more and more available!!!

My 2022 Ioniq 5 Limited

One-word describes it the best "WOW"! I purchased this vehicle used with 400 miles on it, I traded in a 2022 Ioniq 5 SE. Well worth it. I love the interior and exterior, often find many people taking pictures of my ride when I pass them! I've had zero issues with the car and have taken it on two long road trips (from PA to SC and another from PA to FL) with no issue finding recharging locations along the way. The vehicle is very responsive on the road and comfortable on long trips! I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a totally electric vehicle. I'm averaging around 3.6 to 3.8 miles per kw hour and that equates to 279 to 294 miles. Charging is superfast using the DC fast chargers, at home I've installed a level 2 charger that will fully re-charge vehicle overnight.

Great EV, thoughtful design and excellent battery technology

Great EV, Thoughtfully designed and with some of the best battery tech out there. Styling is fresh and really takes in to account the strengths of the skateboard platform. Interior space is exceedingly generous; overall the most comfortable car I have ever owned.

You feel good just walking up to it

On top its beautiful exterior design, the interior finish and design is beautiful and mostly ergonomic, which you appreciate a lot after driving a 3. The ride is very nice... acceleration is just shy of exhilarating prioritizing comfort. The speed at which it rapid charges is amazing. I typically go 15-18 mins to go from 18%-80%.
