Bait and switch
They promise fast charging. Not the Ioniq. They promise built quality. Not the Ioniq. They promise good range. Not the Ioniq. They promise lots of features, but they are poorly executed.
My Ioniq was in the shop for 19 days in the first month of ownership.
It has charging problems at DC fast chargers. The deal told me this was normal. I mentioned that I've had Teslas, i-Paces, and a Mach-e and know how charging works. I mentioned that the Ioniq charges at half the speed or less of my Mach-e. The dealer refused to look into the issue.
The car was delivered with squeaks and rattles. The dealer told me this was normal.
The car was delivered with a defective tire that caused vibrations at highway speeds. The dealer replaced the tire, but didn't align the car and it has vibrations at highway speeds.
The car forgets settings every time it's turned off. Want you heated seats to keep heating when you stop to run an errand? Tough luck. Want i-Pedal to keep engaged? Nope... the car disengages it. Want to disable lane keeping assistant? Touch luck, the car thinks better.
And all the warning bings and pings and alerts. I just ignore them. Too much useless information.
