Great car ... but charging is an issue
The Hyundai Ionic 5 deserves all the accolades. It accelerates smoothly, drives extremely well, offers the ability to customize your driving experience, looks great, is more than comfortable ... but range anxiety is real, and in the Midwest, charging is still a challenge. Finding charging requires a mishmash of apps, many of which do not provide updated or accurate information. Even some Hyundai dealers are loath to let their chargers be used by anyone who's not a customer of that dealership. Come on! EV adoption benefits everyone – and it only works if everyone works together. As a result, we're a little scared to take an amazing road-trip car on road trips. Someday soon, hopefully ...
