Affordable, comfortable, spacious, fun to drive

It’s rare to find a car with so many great qualities for an affordable price. This car hits the mark. Its fun, looks good, and most of all accomplishes daily driving comfortably, reliably, and effectively. There should be so many more of these on the road.

It's all electric

I would rather drive an all gas powered vehicle, because I never driven a gas powered vehicle in my life. Besides, nobody wants to buy electric vehicles. Electric vehicles are useless. Electric vehicles will be sledgehammer. Thumbs down👎 to electric vehicles and thumbs up👍 to gas powered vehicles.

Great value and very stylish

Although the Ioniq 5 is not as advanced as a Tesla and has no full self driving capabilities, it's a very comfortable and relatively affordable EV considering the current lease offers. I like the futuristic style even better than Teslas or Ford Mach-e

Awesome vehicle!

Absolutely love this vehicle. I believe it’s a bit over priced for the interior, but over all no major complaints. The vehicle does exactly what you expect. When it comes to the free charging, maybe more options on where to charge. I tend to have to wait along with every other EV that got the same deal at the only location we have here in Colorado Springs.

Excellent choice for a full electric car. Great upgrade from my 2021 Hyundai Ioniq EV.

What's not to like. My lease on my 2021 Hyundai Ioniq EV was coming up and the 2024 Ioniq 5 had decent discounts to make it an easy upgrade. The 2021 Hyundai Ioniq never gave me trouble except the 12v battery keep going dead but Hyundai figured it out that the Bluelink app keep waking the car and drained the battery. Update solved this. Anyway, the Ioniq 5 looks great IMO and is comfortable to drive. Controls are easy to figure out. Sometimes the car is a little sensitive with the parking sensors which is fine. The SEL AWD that I leased has quite a bit of power that I do not care to use much. I'm more interested in maximizing range. I've gotten a max range with 100% charge of 341 miles so far, but I normally charge to 80%. I expect the car to very well in the winter months but often I do not drive in inclement weather. The seats I wish were leather. Cloth seats are supportive but the fabric is a little coarse and will serve there purpose. Overall, I can recommend the car easily.

Overall an excellent vehicle

This is my first EV. Great range, very reliable and predictable, very spacious - even in the back seat. Very comfortable, and has partially reclining rear seats. Very responsive acceleration, fun to drive - even more fun than my previous vehicle, a Kia Stinger.

Fun car

Loving the car so far--1 week and about 250 miles in. Quiet ride, responsive performance, fun to drive--especially with very customizable regenerative braking controls. Bluelink integration is pretty good, with my only minor critique being that I'm not getting trip history back on my phone correctly.

I love it!

I love everything about this vehicle! I love the comfort, safety, technology, design; I mean everything about it is just great! I highly recommend this vehicle if you're thinking about choosing Hyundai and an electric vehicle in general!

After driving for about a month...

I first leased it in early September 2024, and although there were some minor issues after the lease took effect, I have been riding it without any issues so far. I was a little disappointed that some features were missing in the 2024 model compared to the 2023 model, but the maintenance cost is low due to charging promotions, etc.

Love my EV but not the dashboard display

This is my first EV and am so glad that I bought one. I wish that my car was larger because I have 4 grandchildren. But it is very comfortable for just me and I do love the way it drives. I don't like the dashboard display because it doesn not have ease of use.

Great car; two misfires

This car needs a rear wiper. Car horn only emits a loud "HONK" when you press decidedly on the horn. I need a "beep" feature, to alert the guy in front of me to put down his cell phone and proceed onward on green.

This car is really good.

This car is really good. Ther problem is the charging system around my home. I have to wait toooooo long. Also, the charging price very high compared with Tesla super charger. Otherwise, the car itself is really good.

Sales person John Carlo was very thorough and great salesman and made us feel comfortable in buying electric. We never thought we would buy electric until Sansone Hyundai gave us the opportunity to lease the Hyundai ionic 5. It drives great and look forward to the next model.

Terrible experience

The vehicle I thought I was buying based on the description has a range of 330 miles, takes no more than an hour to charge in a super speed charger and no more than 4 in a b charger. The range is no more than 240 fully charged. it takes 2:30 hours to charge (from 20 to 80%) in a super charger and 6 hours in a level 2. The service from Hyundai is terrible it is like their motto is no response and no care for the client once the vehicle leaves the dealership.

Looking forward to 25 model year updates

I am leasing my 2024 Ioniq 5 Limited and I love it. Everything about the car is fantastic I only have minor gripes. However, those minor gripes are all solved by the presumed changes on the 25 model year. I will be trying my best to purchase an ioniq 5 (maybe 7) once my lease is up

Steep learning curve

The bells and whistles are initially distracting and can be dangerously so- get to know them on a remote road without traffic. This is a fun car to drive if you drive the car and don’t allow the car to drive you.

Great all around electric car

Feels like I’m driving a car out of the future. The car is very comfortable. Well, Hyundai did not have to do it. This car feels completely different than a gas car. And I think because of this, I probably drive it differently than I would a gas car.
