Exactly what I needed
My Kona LTD is exactly what I was looking for, and I fell in love with the vehicle just from seeing it on the road a couple times. The look is competitive with high end brands like Mercedes-Benz and BMW crossovers, the size is perfect if you aren’t really looking for a big SUV or are used to something slightly smaller, and I couldn’t be happier with the handling.
I read a lot before making my real decision to get my Kona, and it was rated highly in all the right categories — safety and reliability, winter driving, etc. That was hugely encouraging, and the LTD has fog lights! That’s really important for me as someone who gets into thick, coastal fog where even newer headlight technology doesn’t quite cut it.
The road noise is a little bit higher than I expected, but it’s not bad at all and honestly I don’t notice it 99% of the time. The handling is awesome, and feels almost exactly like driving my old Elantra GT hatchback. The engine is really zippy, with fantastically fast acceleration, especially in sport mode (I tried it out for fun because why not?).
Storage space I’d say is on par with my old hatchback, which had hugely impressive storage for its size, so I think you probably are getting exactly what you’d expect from the build of this car for that.
The safety features are awesome, too, and even when they aren’t in play I just feel safe in this car. For someone with anxiety, that’s a huge plus.
