Very nice and quick to get the car

Saving on gas, 4 wheel drive to get up our driveway. We really like Hyundai cars, because they are reliable and very nice. We haven't had a new car since 2006 and it was also a Hyundai and we loved it. We also had a used Santa Fe and we loved it too. Now we have the new Kona and we love it even better.

Stylish Car Lacks Power

not enough power, transmission surges, alerts are inconsistent and annoying, rear camera is not clear, air vents put out odor and noisy, display too complicated to use for driver, littlecargo room...great gas mileage, exterior is stunning, and seat material is durable and conceals dirt well

Great little car overall

The kona gets fantastic gas mileage in town and on the highway. It handles and drives great. The only issues are lack of power when taking off very noisy ride very little sound deadening. Found if it's in sport mode it accelerates much faster but you give up a little gas mileage if left in sport mode. Over all its a fantastic little SUV.

I like the car but my 2018 Elantra limited had some features I miss greatly

It's a great car, but I wish I kept my Elantra. I enjoy the turbo. The leather seats are nice. It's fun to drive. I bought the same car for my daughter last year. I feel like I am trying to look younger than I am driving this car.

Love it

I absolutely love it. Sometimes I wish I had a sunroof, but I didn't necessarily want all the other bells and whistles. Love the interior style too. I wanted cloth seats anyway, because I think they are more durable to the elements as well. And I love my rubber floor mats

Poor choice

The engine o the 2021 SEL is just a disaster. I regret not getting the turbo model. If you live in mountains, stay away from the Kona. If you live in a city with steep hills and highways, stay away from this vehicle. No power and hard shifting/knocking occur when you are not demanding much of the vehicle. Doesn't get advertised gas mileage.

proud of my purchase . Bought it for my wife , she loves it . was her first new car . Should last her for a long time .

handles well Bought it for my wife , she likes how sporty it looks, she also likes the lane alarm . The mpg is a plus , It has many feature like bluetooth multi media hookups ,loves how it hold the roads.

Good Small Car

In all things there can be improvements, there are some things i do not like about the car, the black plastic bleeds on my white car, the step to get in and out is TOO FAR, especially for a short person and most small cars fit short people, sluggish in first gear.

Fun to drive

FIrst lemon in nearly 40 years of car ownership

I was a Hyundai fan all the way. I traded in my AWESOME trouble-free 2012 Accent for a brand new 2021 Kona in February 2021. Within a few months there was is strange stuttering/skipping upon acceleration. I took the vehicle in and it took nearly a month for it to be repaired. First, the dealership provided all of the diagnostics to Hyundai for assistance and Hyundai was completely unresponsive. Because of that, they had to replace the entire transmission. When they were doing that, there was a problem with the CV axle and THAT had to be repaired as well. Now I'm stuck making payments on a car that I'm scared to drive just waiting for the wheels to call up or something to explode. Instead of being excited to own a new car, I'm completely disappointed, and wish I had kept my 2012 Accent.

Great small SUV

Great to drive and handles very well! Getting in and out is easy, and you do not have to climb up to get in. We got better gas mileage than what was on the sticker of the vehicle! Comfortable seats, well padded.

Nice but also concerned

The 2021 Keon is a good compact vehicle that is comfortable and very easy to drive. However it is odd that a “wiring problem” was identified (and repaired) with only 2,000 miles on the vehicle. Otherwise, all is good.

Kona

I’m very pleased with the agility and quick acceleration. The mileage is also good with up to 38 mpg. I do realize that this vehicle is on the lower end of the models and I shouldn’t expect all aspects of the vehicle to be excellent but I do feel Hyundai could do a better job on wind noise in the vehicle and road noise with more insulation on the floor. The tires also on the noisey size. I did have the window shields installed which helped a little.

Traded a 2018 for 2021

this is my third hyundai, first was a 2014 accent,than 2018 kona, now i have a 2021 kona, haven`t had any problem so far. have to go in on september for some work on my back door, and will get first oil change.

Made it up to Moro Bay from Buena Park (319mi approx) with a full tank and had 120 miles to spare. Smooth ride. Great car. Seats are too new so a little hard. Cruise control is great among the other features of the car.
