Very nice vehicle
This replaced a 2019 Hyundai Tucson Sport. That was a nice vehicle, but it became too small for us. The Palisade was always the frontrunner, but I looked at others in the same segment. Like the Telluride as well, but even harder to get - plus the Palisade interior is a bit nicer. The Highlander has gotten smaller, so I had to rule out for that reason.
I had been reading up on the prior year Palisade's and was aware with some of the issues, so I only considered the 2023. I prefer the new grill, seemed the new safety features added were for the latest side impact tests (which was just confirmed last week!), noise proofing done in the car done to improve wind noise issues and ride suspension improvements. I'm not a fan of sunroofs and still see plenty of issues on all car mfg models out there, so I did not want a sunroof. The best trim not having a sunroof was the SEL. This trim had everything I wanted except heated back seats or the larger wheels. However, larger wheels have their own issues so perfectly happy with the 18 inch. Even with this trim the vehicle feels luxurious. I love the h-tex leather (I have the light grey) as it is very comfortable (not cheap looking/feeling). I have kids and dogs, so will be easier to keep clean. The Bridgestone OEM tires look to be good for spring and summer, not wintery conditions. So I put snow tires on as we ski every weekend. No worries in the snow!
