Runs well, has pep, indepth review below.
I have the Hybrid Limited.
I drive > 40K miles per year, mostly highway; 75 mph+. Mainly 1 person with equipment.
Positives:
Car has been dependable, no problems that rank above "annoying". No mechanical problems
Car has plenty of pep and power - even at highway speeds. I can pass at 80 mph with plenty of power.
Love the cameras and the top-down composite view. They work great
Car rides well
It has better-than-expected dirt roading abilities - bumping up some steep and rocky places very effectively.
I like having real buttons and knobs to control things like air, radio, volume... (not just icons on a screen)
Frustrations:
The design of the windshield wipers doesn't work. There is always a smear in the middle where they overlap, and the front window is consistently not clean in the center.
The lane assist is too sensitive. I often get warnings and even find myself fighting the car for things like lines in the asphalt or painted out road lines. Things which should not trigger the lane assist
I don't like the automatic Crash Avoidance. The few times it has kicked in, I feel like I am fighting it - as well as dealing with the driving situation. It also tends to kick in way before I think the situation deserves special attention.
Driving at high speeds in the wind results in air leaking sound from driver's door.
Heat and air is inconsistent - both in temperature and volume. This occurs without changing the settings and without being set to Auto. Sometime the volume will blow high and sometimes low. The same thing often occurs with the temperature.
Design of cup holders on front doors ensures that bottles fall out and I can't get more than 1 bottle or can into them.
I only get a little over 28 mpg. (I do understand that my driving is not conducive to the best mileage, but I would like to average 30+.)
I have yet to figure out how to consistently lock the car using the button on the door handle. Sometimes it clicks right away with a hand on the handle, other times I have to release the handle and then touch the lock with only 1 finger.
Things I wish were different.
I wish there was a separate temperature control for the rear seats
I wish there was a seat fold down lever at the top of the back seats, as well as at seat cushion level.
I wish it came with the option of a full-sized spare. (Everything needed to install one is available and I was able to add one fairly simply, but it took effort and a few hundred dollars).
All in all, a good car, I'm glad I purchased it and it has run well.
