Excellent Vehicle with Minor Flaws
This is my first Hyundai, and I am pleasantly surprised at how much I've enjoyed it. The surprise is really from the lack of knowledge I previously had about the brand. It is an excellent vehicle - sporty, efficient, fluid in design, and affordable. The flaws that it has, although minor, are enough to keep me from giving it five stars.
My main issues are with the entertainment aspect of the Santa Fe. Contact downloads to the system are difficult, Android Auto and Apple Car Play are difficult to start up, and even with the Bose speaker clarity, the sound isn't as "full" or "big" as in other vehicles. The phone charging slot scratches my screen protector and my phone gets hot from time to time.
Other complaints include the foot vents not blowing hot air for a good while when the heater is on. The defrosters and front vents work great. Also, the auto stop/start feature is great for extending gas mileage, but it's difficult getting going sometimes after a brief stop and the feature utilized.
