First Hyundai, First hybrid

This is my first Hyundai and I honestly never considered the brand, but I'm a big fan now. The seats are comfortable which is important with the miles I log. The sound system is excellent. Last but not least, the fuel economy is phenomenal.

2017 Sonata Hybrid

My business has leased 2 2017 Sonatas. Both appear identical, but the 2nd Sonata is hybrid. In addition to sipping fuel, Hyundai has engineered a noticeable decrease of friction in the drivetrain whenever the accelerator pedal is ‘not depressed. Every car I’ve driven over the last 50 years, regardless of year, make, model or cost, has had an immediate, noticeable deceleration as soon as the accelerator is no longer being depressed. In stark contrast, rhe Sonata Hybrid continues as if the transmission had been shifted into neutral. Very nice engineering and I haven’t heard of this development in competing brands. Both the Sonatas -(Hybrid and non-Hybrid)- are very responsive and up-to-the-minute in their IT and ergonomic amenities. I’ll bet I’ve sold a few if these simply by sharing my satisfaction with friends and the reasons for it. Great car- keep ‘em coming! ‘

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid a winner

This Sonata is the second that I've had. The first was not a hybrid and was a gift to my daughter who is still enjoying its excellent performance. The new one (2017) gets roughly 40 mpg between city and highway driving and is low maintenance. My only complaint is that when I am listening to audio books on the CD player, it often loses my place when I turn the car off and begins again at the beginning. I have mentioned this to the dealer and they did not have a satisfactory answer or solution.

Sonata Limited Plug In

The automobile is fantastic - was dis-hearted with the sales effort - we arrived to buy a NEW car, and after signing all the documents, then we were advised the vehicle we purchased was a 2017 - we believing it was an 2018 model. Our certificate for $40 to test drive the vehicle was never paid.

Great value

Recently took my Sonata on a road trip from Phoenix to San Diego. Super comfortable and the gas mileage was excellent. Only had to fill up once and got back home with over 200 miles left in the tank. The air conditioned seats make a perfect companion for driving through the desert.

very satisfied with the vehicle so far.

I'm still getting used to a hybrid vehicle (my first). There are many things I have difficulty understanding; some have to do with the fact that this is my first hybrid, others have to do with features I've never had before. The manual has been helpful with most things, others a call to the salesman for an explanation has solved. My wife and I both are very pleased with the vehicle thus far.

LOVE MY SONATA HYBRID

I have recommended Hyundai to several friends and family members already. I have averaged about 40-42 miles per gallon in the CITY! That is absolutely amazing in my book. My car is super quiet runs like a dream. Another PLUS is how spacious the Sonata is. It will COMFORTABLY fit 4 men that are 6 feet tall! Love, love, love my car and I am EXTREMELY proud to drive it every day.

I love my Sonata!

I absolutely love the people at the Hyundai dealership ! They did a great job, and serviced my car in a timely manner. Everyone was so nice, and I would encourage anyone to go by and check it out soon! I love my Sonata! We used to buy Honda’s, but no more. I’m sold !

Miles and Smiles

Being a Uber driver myself, I highly recommend a Hyundai Hybrid vehicle to all Uber and Lift drivers. The Hybrid will save you 40% on fuel. I have 48,000 miles now and have had no engine or battery problems. Hyundai also offers lifetime protection on the hybrid batteries. If your not a cab driver and you want to see a drastic change in your fuel consumption, hybrid is the way to go. The savings for me, really make up on car payments.

2017 Sonata Hybrid

This car deserves a TEN. It is the best car I have had in many years of driving. It is very quiet. The suspension soaks up every bump. The mileage is great. Plenty of power for my needs. Love this car.

Excellent Car!

I spent an inordinate amount of time researching vehicles for a combination of comfort, economy, luxury and performance. I drove 2017 and 2018 Accords, Hybrid and 1.5L turbo. I drove a Passat, a Prius, an Optima (I loved the Optima too), even an Ioniq. I came back to the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Limited Hybrid. I wanted to like the Honda Accord more than I did. I mean, it's a Honda. I found that the Sonata Hybrid had more seamless performance with its powertrain and transmission. The interior is just a bit nicer. The Accord's design is stunning, but there are little things that made the Sonata better in my opinion. The power passenger seat actually goes up and down. The Accord's only goes back and forth. The six speed automatic transmission in the Sonata shifts flawlessly and is almost imperceptible. The CVT in the Accord is probably the best CVT, but it's still a CVT. The power / torque in the Sonata is available right off the line. There is no delay from pressing on the accelerator to the response of the vehicle. Not so in the Accord. I compared real-world acceleration times and the Sonata is right there with the Accord 1.5L turbo where it counts to most people.... 0-20, 0-30, 0-50 mph.... and passing 30 - 50... So it's a few tenths of a second slower to 60 mph... who cares? 7.6 sec for the Accord vs 8.1 or 7.8 sec for the Sonata is pretty much imperceivable. The ride is luxurious. The interior is luxurious. The front and back seat legroom is great. People need to look at the TOTAL amount of leg room available. 81.1 inches total combined front and rear legroom for the Sonata. (45.5 front and 35.6 rear) The Accord has a slight advantage in overall legroom at 82.7 but the max front seat legroom is only 42.3 inches. The Sonata has more total passenger room at 106.1 cu.ft. vs the Accord at 102.7 cu.ft. and it's noticeable. The Sonata's cabin feels roomier. I'm not knocking the Accord. It's an excellent vehicle. I just found the Sonata Hybrid was a little better in areas that matter to me. The fuel mileage I've been getting as been outstanding. I just completed a 360 mile trip that included driving up through a mountain at about 4500 ft both ways. I averaged 45.6 mpg on the trip! After reading several of reviews, it seems the real-world mpg in the Sonata will be close to that of the Accord. And now we come to price. I was fortunate enough to find a Certified Pre-owned 2017 Sonata Limited Hybrid with only 460 miles on it for about $10k less that the sticker price. The warranty is amazing. All in all, one can't go wrong by choosing the Sonata Hybrid.

I love this car. It performs perfectly and is very comfortable to drive. I especially love the gas mileage since my previous vehicle only got eighteen miles per gallon. Since I don’t ride in the back seat I asked friends how the ride was and they said “it is like riding in a limo.” He was even typing on his laptop. Great car.

Excellance amongst Chaos

The Chico Nissan/Hyundai site is under renovation, major renovation. In the midst of all the chaos of tearing this up and fixing that, they are maintaining a great service shop with fantastic customer service. I'm impressed.

Love our Car

We bought the Hybrid because we wanted the gas mileage and the Hyundai offers a lifetime battery warranty. We haven't been disappointed. The tank is only 13 gallons and we fill it every 450 miles. It's very quiet, and handles very well on the highway or in town. I was a little disappointed that it is so low to the ground, but then we don't have the power seats. Most important my wife loves the car.

Good Bang For Your Buck

The only thing that will keep this from getting a perfect score would be if the gas mileage was slightly higher. Other than that, I love my vehicle and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a first-time Hyundai.

Sonata Hybrid

I have owned my Sonata for almost a year now. I can honestly say that I enjoy driving it more today than when I first purchased it. In the past I have always purchased Toyota's, now that I own a Hyundai; I wouldn't trade it for the world.
