Awesome Hyundai’s!

My family has 3 Hyundai cars. So I think that says it all. They have been great cars and next I will get a SUV. Myself and my 2 kids each have Hyundai’s. One Elantra and 2 Sonatas that are great cars.

For pennies i can go anywhere with ease and comfort and luxury of a full size car average 45 gal miles oil change every 6 000 my tires go 80000 miles in 124000 only 550 for gen maintenance its a dream to be free

I love my car. I even gave her a name, Scarlett, and that's how she is referred to by my friends. Never had a problem; a joy got drive!

I've said it all in previous responses to this survey. The car is a Number TEN in my opinion. I don't know what else to say. As I said, I don't know much about cars so I can't opine on the engine, or other parts.

I purchased this vehicle new in 2012, have put upwards of 80,000 Miles on it, and have had absolutely no mechanical concerns thus far. I keep my oil clean, which, I know is the secret of turbo longevity. I’m a mechanic, and have worked on many Saab turbos back in the 80s. I know turbos, and am highly impressed by this Hyundai turbo.

Everything under the hood is triple the price

The car is definitely amazing as far as looks and gas mileage. When it breaks down that's a whole different story. I just spent $1,590 on a electric water pump because one out of the four water pumps it has, cracked. Instead of having one radiator it has two, same thing with the battery, same thing with the belts. The parts are all very pricey and unless you make about $70,000 a year, don't get this car!!

2012 Sonata Limited

Nice riding, comfortable car with features found in more expensive vehicles. Great car for travel with roomy trunk, an important feature when I bought the car. It will hold my husband’s motorized scooter.

Sonata 2012

This is a all-in-all reliable car. Not your angry fast car, but it gets the job done and feels safe. The exterior has a modern sporty feel to it, the interior also does not dissapoint. Too bad that newer models lost this type of design as I find them too... "male oriented".

DONT Do it

I say save your money and buy a car from another Company. they lack in fully paying attention to the customer needs. I understand heavy loads on a work day, but when I purchased my car I didn't read this part of poor customer service or me being aware of others workload to be part of the contract agreement between Hyundai and myself. So disappointing.

One of the BEST vehicles on the road, for the money

The 2012 generation Sonata showed the world that Hyundai had officially come to the party, and planned to stay. From an impressive array of options to its aggressive styling, the Sonata pleases. Boasting features that other makes charge premium prices for, the Sonata gives the most bang for the buck by far. Compared to a Ford Fusion or Honda Accord of the same generation, the Sonata has many of the same features for $8+ less. Compared to an 2012 Acura TLX, the Sonata has the same engine size (slightly different performance specs), same general technology packages, but the Sonata was $10+ less priced new. While the Sonata has not held its value the same as these competitors, that is more due to the newness of Hyundai joining the quality parade than to the actual vehicle itself - there is not yet enough of a positive history on Hyundai to allow the vehicle to maintain its value. My 2012 currently has over 1000,000 miles and has had exactly zero issues to date.

we had this Sonata model for over 7 years with little or no problem and how Hyundai handled the engine recall was outstanding and very professional. Car handles wonderful, the brakes are a little soft

Love my vehicle

I'm very pleased with the out come of having to have major work done on my vehicle and making sure that the warranty was still in affect. Hyundai truly stands by their promise of their warranty and I am very pleased and put at ease that they an outstanding job.

performance Review

We owned and have been driving the car for over six year, we are satisfied with the driving comfort, and performance. The one problem we faced is the number of recall issues the car had devloped , there have been number of recall issues about the car, though most of them have been taken care of by the dealer during normal servicing. The recalls about shaky steering and premature bearing wear (resulting in engine knocking and loss of pewer) were never remedied, though they had sent waring letters for the probable recalls , resulting in roadside breakdown and disruption of journey. Once identified these recall repairs should have been taken care of than , waiting for the breakdown to happen which can lead to accidents, disruption and loss of confidence in the vehicle.

The recall with no remedy is stressful

Overall I think the car has been reliable, how ever I have only 31kplus since 2012. The style is still appealing. I don't like current model. A CONVERTIBLE TWO DOOR SONATA WOULD BE A GREAT SELLER.yeah

Not a fast Sedan (2012 hyundai sonata)

I loved the way the car drives and handles and its a car that whener you look at always gives a perfect smile and very nice design as well i just wished that Hyundai would squeeze out a 300hp sonata in the future because this car for me is really slow but overall the ride quality is nice just the lack of speed and the interior im looking for a sedan that has leather stitching on the door panels and the dashboard the hard plastic doesnt cut it out that much anymore and with all honesty... i like the 2013 interior better compared to the newer ones. The new sonatas are very bland these days but the exterior styling is just okay. And almost forgot the overall integrity of the interior is very low considering it has a lot of racket going on inside. But considering it being second hand maybe the 1st owner didnt take care of it.

Ok

Car has a lazy throttle response. Passenger seat is too low. So are the back seats. Hybrid drive system failed at 59,900 miles. Almost wasn't covered by warranty. Makes weird noises under throttle. Bluetooth connection is really really slow. Takes a minute and a half to connect to my phone.

Issues

I’ve only had this car for two months and I’ve had issues back too back. They gave it too me with no oil change. Then it doesn’t want too start more then once. It’s ridiculous how many issues I had with that car

Paint issues

The car has run well but it looks awful. The paint is peeling off the hood and roof and Hyundai has offered no remedy. The car is six years old and I was told at the service center that I must have driven through gravel that was tossed and caused the paint to peel! I have never had this issue with any other car I’ve owned, none of which were a Hyundai . I’ve also seen other Hyundai cars in my area with the same issue. This is my first and last Hyundai.

My Sonata Review

Our Sonata has performed well over the last six years that we have owned it. It is a comfortable car and easy to maneuver in the city. The gas mileage is good ( although not what it was supposed to be ) We have had no mechanical problems in the time that we have owned it.
