2017 Hyundai Tucson Value

Other than the seats being too low, the air conditioner going out after 23 months, and a break light bulb having to be replaced, it’s been a good vehicle. Handles great. Good gas mileage. Has a jerky feeling at low speeds.

Tucson

Great look and feel of the Tucson/Turbo. Very dissatisfied with the acceleration - shakes, hesitates. Will not re-lease or purchase this vehicle again. Sad because it is a good looking/comfortable size.

Very satisified

No squeaks, creaks or rattles. Solid construction, quiet ride and great styling. Very reliable vehicle with a great safety rating. Replaced a Toyota with the Hyundai Tuscon and absolutely no regrets.

Glad I made the change

Had to say goodbye to my 15 yo rav. Did my research and Hyundai Tucson was rated highly. It is so comfortable inside. Quiet, smooth ride. Work out of my car and the handling is great. Definitely glad I got the 2L engine. plenty of room inside for friends or whatever I need to haul. Very happy I made the switch.

Without the Acceleration Hesitation it Would be Perfect.

Many of my family members own Hyundai cars so I decided to try one and leased a 2017 Tucson. The style of the car is great and I’m very happy with most of its options but the dealbreaker for me is the horrible hesitation during acceleration. There have been times when I literally have felt like I have put the Excelerator through the floorboard to just get up to 40 miles an hour while merging on a busy highway. Sometimes when I’ve tried to make a left-hand turn the hesitation scares me as I watch the oncoming cars. I will be test driving other makes and models and leasing another SUV from a different auto maker at the end of this year. It really is a shame.

Love our TUCSON

Great Vehicle... Great Price;Style;Performance, etc. This is our 2nd TUCSON. First was a 2013 which we also liked very much. This 2017 we like more dur to the better overall ride and new Body Styling.

Hyundai Tucson 2017

Vehicle is nice, but a little more "bulkier" to drive than our 2006, that is why husband drives that and we bought a 2019 Kona for myself to drive, a little smaller, but easier all around, except for a few perks they took away. Like no Sirius radio or CD Player. It is a very nice vehicle. 2017 has a "slow pick up" which a fault.

My Tucson

My second Tucson; have been very pleased with overall performance and quality!! It has been a pleasure to drive. Feels very solid when driving; The Voice Recognition system is my only complaint; it has a very slow response.

Still don’t like the dual shaft transmission... it occasionally stalls.... usually making the driving situation very scary! Hyundai says sorry there is not anything they can do about this situation... very sad!

Dangerous

I would not recommend Hyundai to anyone. I bought a 2017 Tucson and it has a hesitation in acceleration at very dangerous times. It comes and goes, nothing consistent. I have taken it into the dealers several times and they can not find the reason for the problem. This vehicle is dangerous and I would say steer clear of it. If anybody has found a fix please let me know, the dealership I bought it at is at a complete loss for why it has this issue. But I have read reviews where many people have the same problem. Needs to be fixed ASAP before somebody gets killed.

Awesome vehicle

The Tucson is perfect for me. Very attractive financing. Wonderful warranties. Well engineered vehicle. Very reliable vehicle, good fuel economy. Great service dept at my local Hyundai dealership. All of this equals "no worries" transportation.

This is an excellent car, although it could have more engine selections, more towing capacity, and more insulation to cut down road noise. The warranty is great and the price of the vehicle is great considering the equipment installed.

What A Surprise!

Always drove big V8 cars.. but the performence of the hyundai and mpg surprised me. stylish front fascia is the best looking one of all .. it looks small but its cargo space is enough or more for my needs. 100k 10year is awesome.. everybody was surprised i bought i Hyundai... now they are thinking of buying one too!

Over Priced

The Tucson is over priced and it’s trade in value is extremely low. I would highly recommend purchasing a different suv. I’ve had exterior trim fall off. The factory tires are CHEAP, barely lasted a year.

Stay Away

I have owned several Hyundais over the years. This is the first one that I cannot recommend. It looks great and is comfortable but the dual clutch transmission is awful not to mention dangerous. This SUV stalls when accelerating in stop and go traffic or from starting up at a green light. I know the 2016 had this issue as well but Hyundai wrote a software update some time ago. No such fix has come along for the 2017. I only this review keeps at least one person from making the same mistake that I did by buying this SUV. I am not a negative person and NEVER write bad reviews but this SUV truly merits it.

My 2017 Tuscon

This has been our first Hyundai. We were not sure if we would like it but our Tuscon has been wonderful. We have driven it across country all the way to California up to Idaho and back to Pennsylvania. The gas milage has been better than advertised and we enjoy the ride.

An underappreciated vehicle

The Hyundai Tucson is an incredible value. Features that are normally seen only in much higher priced cars come in a a very reasonable cost. I have been buying cars for over 50 years, everything from a used Jeep CJ-5 to a brand new Ford Escape, Infiniti Q40 and Volvo S80. Never have I had a better feeling about a car than I do with my 2017 Tucson. It's incredible and I am amazed that it doesn't lead the segment.

One Great Car

I rent cars several times each month for my work. I get to drive them all. The more I drive the other cars, the happier I am with my Tucson. It is reliable, comfortable, nimble on the road, and gets great gas mileage. One great car.
