2013 Veloster Turbo
Purchased new and now have approx 89,700 miles. Minimal costs for maintenance to date outside of the normal Tires, Oil, Tuneups, etc...
Despite being very low profile tires (second set just installed), the Kumo standard equipment tires work very well in ALL SEASONS with good mileage and EXCELLENT TRACTION EVEN IN THE WINTER. The car handles like a go cart- responsive steering, decent acceleration (small engine) and good brakes. Paddle Shifters are a blast. Not fast like my M3 but they work!
The only complaints are with:
1- Dash Display (very poor visual interface). Take a look at a Honda Pilot and you see a good implementation: you can choose to view a Clock at all times, for example, instead instead of the Hyundai ugly logos representing items Yes you can display the clock, but it goes away in seconds.
2- Bluetooth Connectivity issues. Repeatedly back to the service department to repair. The repair personnel were very friendly. But the radio was NOT replaced per request and we struggled through numerous updates. That took at least 1.5 years to resolve.
3- Suspension rattles, component replacements required.
Warranty and recall repairs very good. The dealership employees are always helpful and friendly.
WE LOVE OUR VELOSTER TURBO!
