A classic in the making
The 1999 CLK 320 cabriolet Mercedes were destined to be a classic from the start. Reasonably priced for a four-seater Mercedes with a powerful V-6, decent fuel economy (for its time) and stunning good looks (top up or down). They were $20k less than the prior converted E class convertible and had the latest safety and technology advancements ahead of most cars in this class. Although they were a hit for MB and many good examples are still being happily driven today, the really well-cared-for/pampered, low mileage cars are getting more rare every year. This car has been totally reliable, fun to drive, luxurious, safe, solid, and still delights every time I stow the triple lined soft top for an open air drive. This one stays in the family ;-)
