16 years later…..

Sixteen years later the car still pleases and brings a smile to my face. With the exception of some loose valve guides (addresses by two new cylinder heads under warranty) all systems have withstood the test of time without premature failure or other issues.

2006 C4S

When I went to look for my first Porsche the 997 Gen 1's were12 to 15 years old and in the sweet spot for resale value. I did extensive research and decided to look for a C4S, 2006 to 2008. Nationwide there were only 11 for sale at that time but fortunately there were 3 in SoCal so I was able to check out multiple cars. The one I originally wanted, an 07 Silver on Black sold as soon as I inquired. I then check out the other 2 and confirmed that the 997 Gen 1 was the right choice for me, just not the right cars. Then a new listing for a 2006 C4S Carrera white on Black full leather with Sport Chrono, 6 speed, color matching interior trim, with only 33, 900 miles came to the market 10 minutes from my house. Needless to say I jumped on the opportunity to see the car and once I went through the test drive and my own inspection I put a deposit on the car and schedule a PPI. The results of the PPI were great, brake flush and oil change need, plenty of clutch and brakes left, tires were new, SOLD!!! I have had the car for 13 months and have driven out 8,000 mile, mainly due to being home for Covid lock downs and having more time to take it out then I would normally have. The car is amazing, fast, quick, crazy handling, and sport mode has a exhaust note that is incredible for a stock exhaust. The car is so strong, those who own a Porsche understand this. You fell like whatever yo do to push the car it wants more from you. I quickly learned the harder you push it, the faster you go, the better the car is. It becomes tighter, more responsive, and gives you greater confidence in its abilities. Nothing like a fire breathing, oil burning, bone rattling, filling loosening Porsche 997. I think its the best of old and new Porsches, the last analog Porsche, and will be one of the best water cooled Porsches ever.

Perfect for me

An 911S cab with tip works for me. Six speed would be nice at time but in FL not so important. I added the sport mode after I bought it 4 years ago. That makes a difference. It’s fast, looks great, corners, !!!

911 997 S cabriolet

The 997 is the perfect balance between old school looks and modern technology. The power band is smooth and there is torque for every occasion. This is my 3rd and newest 911 and I couldn’t be more pleased.

911 cabrio ownership

When it was time to make ME happy for a change I did it the only way I know how. A GTR and R8 were on the list but the 911 won due to its affordable maintenance and being a GREAT drivers car. LOVE IT

My Ride

My dream machine. Plenty of zip but purrs like a kitten until you put the pedal to the metal then look out - that's when excitement begins. It has been trouble free for the life of the car. Quality oozes out every where you look. I can't recommend buying more than two at a time!

2006 Carrera S cabriolet

This is my 3rd 911 and first convertible. I love the car. It’s fast and solid. The 997.1 is a great sports car. My SC was fun and my ‘84 wide body was beautiful but this car is in a whole different class.

Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe, not the Cabriolet as shown.

This Porsche 911 is basically in new condition for a 13 year old vehicle with only 25,000 miles, with a clean Carfax. What's incredible based on the "build sheet", that this Porsche sold new back in 2006 for $102,700.00 This car is loaded with factory options and everything seams to work fine! The car has a black exterior, black interior, with black Porsche wheels.
