Traded in my '15 AWD Limited RAV4 for a '18 AWD Adventure RAV4
Traded in my 2015 RAV4 AWD Limited for this 2018 RAV4 AWD Adventure. The graphics are awful, but on black paint, it is invisible and just looks like a black RAV. My only other color choice was the Magnetic Grey Metallic, as was my Limited. The black Adventure graphics on the dark grey car is hideous. Reason for purchasing the Adventure was because of the tow package. A larger radiator, supplementary engine oil cooler and a transmission fluid cooler are features that I have been taught to get if available. I think it has different springs also because the Adventure has an extra half-inch ground clearance.
This Adventure has all the "bells and whistles" that my Limited had, except for the memory driver's seat, which I never used anyway. The Adventure has the old style flip day/night mirror which I love. Never took a shining to the auto-dim mirror. Never worked as well as the old flip mirrors. I did replace the OEM Limited mirror with a Homelink/Compass mirror, and will lose that. I'll get a Homelink transmitter that fits into an unused dash panel, so all I really lose is the compass, which already I've missed.
The seats in the Adventure seem to be the same as in the Limited, but they are much more uncomfortable. The Adventure has cloth seats while the Limited has the fake leather seats. Never had a problem with the Limited seats, but the Adventure seats are horrible, (in comparison). Otherwise, no real complaints. I'll have to hook up my copy of Techstream software to turn off the auto dimming high beam lights and change the momentary turn signals from three to five. Otherwise, great car. This is the last year before the revised body style. Not liking the newer style, I had a small window to get one of the old style RAVs. Glad I did. It's a good car.
